Even so, Majora's Mask wasn't just a port, it also improved on the boss battles, the original N64 version's weakest aspect was it's bosses.

I got laid off sometime before Christmas so I've been using that time to write my book. Other than that, I don't think I'm dead. I haven't actually checked recently.

I got diagnosed with a debilitating brain disease a few months ago and haven't been able to do much since. Been doing well otherwise, just trying to find odd jobs to work.

    So.... Sup? XD
As I said in the description thing, It's been many a years since I disappeared for good. And now? I'm back until something majorly dramatic happens and I'm forced to leave again, haha.

Anyways, I figured out why I was so... Emotional half of the time. At 21 years of age, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which explains why I was so cranky in the past. It was my blood sugars effecting how I lived and the way I interacted with other people. It's a blessing and a curse at the same time. *sighs* You're all probably wondering what I'm doing with my life. Simple: Not very much, LOL! I start working 5 days a week starting next week, but before then I was working 3 days a week, which helped out a lot due to the fact I spent a lot of money on things that I do not need - only wants. Wants are bad. Needs are good. Don't do what I've done in the past, haha. (Seriously, don't. It's bad.)

Hmm... Uhm... Well, as of 2013, I've been living on my own. I lost my dad due to unknown health issues. My brother rarely speaks to me unless I talk to him first. And I have a feeling I'll be spending christmas by myself, which doesn't bother me, I'll just send him some money so he can distribute it into the 6 of them. (Yes, he has four kids. No, I don't see them very often. :U)

Yeah, so, a lot of things have happened to me in my 27 years of life, and I very much doubt that people wanna hear about my sad, dark little life. Yeah, I have some secrets that I'm not willing to share unless someone asks me about them. Sometimes.

Anyways, that's enough ranting for today. Good night~

As a Methodist myself, it seems to me like Wesley Foundation is a popular thing here in the South. I think you'll enjoy it
  13. Shadowknight added a post in a topic Talk

Yeah, I totally love it! The United Methodist Church calls their campus ministries "Wesley Foundations," and the one I went to during my undergrad was a truly great place that helped me get through some rough times. The one I'm serving is on a Community College, so it has a lot of different challenges that I'm working to figure out, but I'm meeting some great students. I've been there for a year and a half now. I would love to stay in the world of campus ministry, though there are a lot of variables that will come up once I finish seminary to determine what type of ministry I'll end up in.
My wife and I are looking to move to Alabama, which is where she's from, so my future will largely be determined by what they have available there. I don't know how interested they are in Wesley Foundations there, unfortunately, but I would be perfectly happy to get appointed to a conventional church as well. Basically, I'll go where they send me!

Boss Keys: A Youtube Series by Mark Brown
I really enjoy video essays, so this series has been a lot of fun. Mark Brown does a lot of videos on game design, and he's been doing these since June, starting with A Link to the Past, followed by Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, The Wind Waker, and just today, The Minish Cap.
The series is best watched in order, I think, to appreciate how his understanding and approach to design analysis develops. Even in his latest video on The Minish Cap, he's still tweaking how he breaks down the dungeons, and lays out his diagrams.
I think it's a lot of fun to see the games broken down and studied like this, and I hope someone else does too.

"The man in the light may fail to see the long shadow he casts, and all those that follow behind him from its shade. But on the day he chooses to step out of the light, he abandons all those in his shadow, and they are forced into the blinding radiance, casting smaller shadows of their own."

I didn't know you were a campus minister now! That's really cool, guys like you are a lifeline on college campuses
  22. Shadowknight added a post in a topic Talk

Congratulations! That's all very exciting. I got married about a year and a half ago and am working my way through Seminary right now. Hopefully I'll finish in Spring of 2018, but that depends on what classes they offer each semester. It's kind of tough for my wife and me, since we're so far away from both of our families (9 hours from hers, 6 from mine), but we're making it through. I'm running a campus ministry at a small community college, which is a blessing despite its challenges (all my students have jobs or families, which means they can't come to the same kinds of things as students at a 4-year school). It's been a good, busy time for me as well, I'd say!
