  1. your 360 controller out of batteries? take em from the wiimote. no batteries in the wiimote? rob another 360 controller. it just goes on :<

I used to do that :D Lots of battery switching, as I would end up reusing batteries, ultimately screwing myself. Been a lot different since I dowgraded(upgraded more like) back to wired controllers.

a sort of unseen character who both helps and mocks you.

    What about SHODAN? -.^

Still playing Jade Empire. A bit of Dead Island on the side, as well.

  2. Hey everyone. I'm back. I've been hanging out all weekend mostly. I saw The Dark Knight Rises, and enjoyed it. What've you guys been up to?

  3. I think I've seen the controllers you're talking about. They sell em' at walmart, right? They look really awesome, but I think they're also rather notorious for breaking...

Still. This shit's getting unbearable. I do like how my controller's 'supposed' to be dead, and it's still kicking though. That's cool.

I might get one of these glowie controllers. A green one.

Also, while we're on xbox 360 controllers, lemme rant a bit.

Microsoft likes to rip us off, don't they? Look at the ps3 controller. It comes with a usb. I hook this usb up to my computer and, after I get the driver for the controller and go into CMD and run it, it works. Perfectly.

Now look at the 360 controller. It does NOT come with a usb. But wait! To ram this lack of a usb even further, almost IMO making it an insult, the plug-and-play chargetr does not allow you to use your controller on your PC. All the plug-and-play is, is really just a charger. It powers your controller. To make a wireless controller work on your PC, you must buy another utility, the wireless adapter.

Of course, you could always just buy a wired controller and be done with it. But still. Damn, Mircrosoft. Give us some space here.

  4. Thanks, again :D

Meh, HP's not really my thing to be perfectly honest. I also haven't done the whole RP thing in a long time. However, I think I'll check out what RP's are there, and see which one I might be interested in :) Thanks for the invite, also.

  5. Oh, if the army showed up, my ass would be hiding good. I love our fine troops and all, but in a zombie apocalypse situation, I doubt they'd be there to 'save' us.

And the air force, oh FFFFFFFF the air force. I don't wanna see jets flying over me :|

Buuuut I've never actually seen a LARGE group try to survive together in a movie. It could go either way. If it went bad at all, though, it would likely break down into those that truly want to rebuild society, those who want to stick out for themselves, marauders, and infected.

Then we'd all just scatter. At the point where the plan actually breaks apart, I think I might want to just hold out with my friends instead of taking another chance on people I can't be too sure of.

  6. I dunno. I think it has something to do with steam cloud, but that hasn't always been there I don't think. I think part of the game is stored online, or something, because I can't ever find the actual files for my steam games. At least for a game like Skyrim, there's steam workshop support and the skyrim nexus mod manager. But otherwise, I'm usually stumped with trying to mod steam games.

Thanks :D I think it's funny to see half a page of my pic's white eyes glaring into my soul.

  7. Lol, I always thought that was just Majora being a hard ass. But, the moon does look rather angry/distressed whenever I look at it.

  8. THis is ironic, but I can't manage to get to sleep -.-

It always irritated me how I can't play my steam games when I can't get internet. Don't get me wrong, though, steam's a great system.

  9. I know this is REALLY old, but it's also one of the top threads in this little section here.

I never considered that the moon was evil at all. I thought it was forced into the matter. Isn't that why it shed a tear?

  10. I remember having a bit of a plan about this with some friends. See, Zach's house has an upstairs that serves as his room. The main room is rather spacious. Very livable. We could easily accomodate it to have a fridge and other essentials up there.

One room in the hallway up there has a pipe that connects to the toilet. We hypothesized that we could install a toilet upstairs as well.

So, our plan would be to live in the upstairs. We could destroy the wooden stairs leading up to the room and have with us our own means of going down and back up.

There's still the challenge of restocking and maintaining the place, though. That, and Zach's home is in a sub-division neighborhood. Houses on either side. Populated. Could be a big problem -.-

Another plan that I had thought about once was rather radical. If all of the survivors could regroup, we could possibly take over a place like Wal-Mart and create a settlement there. From there, we could work to clear out the zombies and rebuild our lives.

The problem with clearing it out is that we would have to trap ourselves in to keep more zombies from coming after us. But if we really have enough people to launch and assault like that, then we should be prepared to do so.

There are more problems. More people means that our group will be more loosely-knit. People will lie, steal, cheat. And I haven't even considered the people who wouldn't be friendly, either. The ones who would become marauders and make life hell for the ones trying to get by and work together.

What if someone in our large pool of people is bitten, and doesn't tell? Suddenly, our huge group is at risk. This person goes zombie, and spreads the infection, and we have a very serious problem.

I like the idea of rebuilding society like that, though. I would like to group up and clear the zombies out.

I admittedly haven't seen 28 Days Later, though. I'm not a big movie person -.-

  11. Yeah, I want to read the actual thread, but I haven't completed Skyward Sword and won't be able to just up and choose to because I don't own it -.-

    So, spoiler free thread!

Well, not really spoiler free. More like, USEYOURDAMNSPOILERTAGSORELSE. Not that I can actually enforce that or anything, but do please use your spoiler tags.

But, I really like this installment in the Zelda franchise. I love its art style, its new sword mechanics and the way that they've revamped enemies and combat to suit it, and I love the new gameplay elements.

Flying is an outright blast. It took me a bit to get used to. At first I couldn't get my bird to STOP HOVERING. But then I picked it up and the system feels wonderful.

Don't want to say much without tags, but the story has been really great so far.

[The point where I saved was right outside the second temple, the one at Eldin Volcano]

I also love the tie-ins with the rest of the franchise, like how the main theme is Zelda's Lullaby backwards. Clever and epic.

    More on the story-

I love how they showed that Link's symbolic outfit is actually the uniform of the Skyloft knights.

Also, Fi has to be my favorite compainion yet. Her AI-like personality is absolutely charming, sometimes even funny.

I thought the first temple was a bit... Short. Actually, really short. Kinda worries me :|

Breaking the chandalier in the pumpkin soup "refreshment distribution hub" place was hilarious. I love it how you can choose to never go back to work off the cost of the chandalier. I went back anyway, though.

I also think that it's really cool how Skyloft bears very strong resemblance to earlier depictions of the sacred realm. Makes me wonder what the actual sacred realm is, though.

Also, does this mean that the City in the Sky from TP is in Skyloft?

I love how advanced the people of Skyloft seem to be.

Their religion's focus on a single goddess is interesting. I wonder how this is going to tie in to the later worship of three goddesses instead of one.

The 25 Anniversary disc that comes with the game is fantastic, by the way.

Oh and just to clarify, I played Skyward Sword at a friend's house.

  12. Cascade, your post makes me want to double post.

    A lot. :P

    And thanks, everyone :D

  13. Skate 3 really surprised me with how fun it is. At first I was like, *shrug*

    But then I was like,

    SELLMOARBOARDSNAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

    RACERACERACERACERACERACERACE

Oh and I picked up Jade Empire again. Fun game I used to play. It's what Bioware made right after Knights of the Old Republic.

It's good and all, but my controller is really getting on my nerves. It's kind of a zombie controller. It was the second controller we had when we first got an xbox 360 years ago, and it died on me back then. Well, I found it recently. With a plug and play, it works. Without it, it doesn't, even with batteries.

But, even with the plug and play, it'll disconnect itself randomly. Frequently. So it's like I've got to wait to do anything that I want to do. I'd use my wired controller, but I lent it out to a friend so he had a gamepad for Kingdoms of Amalur.

  14. Is that, by any chance, the source of the name subtle engineer?

Haha, no, unfortunately it's not. I like engineers. They tend to be useful, and have really awesome gadgets. And they fix stuff.

I do play almost only engineer in Battlefield 3, though, and when looking into Guild Wars 2, the engineer class immediately caught my eye.

god, I'm glad you didn't see the thread before changing your name. Subtle Engineer is actually nice! Pheosucks... don't indulge that side of knuckle, rule #1 of hnet.

but yeah I also am asking if your name is from tf2? if so let's play together one dayy :3c if not, it's fun and you should look it up/try it out! lots of members here play together... if we can be bothered actually arranging it. well, maybe just me. BUT STILL I recommend it!

    Note taken. Thanks :D

I've tried TF2 before, and shamefully for some unknown reason I didn't get too far into it. I think it was the server. This was also a really long time ago. BUT. I know that it's a really awesome game. So i respect it, and I love its art style.

But yeah, TF2 is way better on PC than it is on xbox, I've heard. Hats are a definite plus for PC. Plus, I think it gets more support, maintainance, people, and just sheer awesomeness on PC. I'm also fairly certain that imaginary tumbleweeds are blowing across the unplayed maps and servers of the xbox version, so PC is the obvious choice with TF2.

I'm not a big PC multiplayer gamer, though. This is probably due to the fact that most of my friends play xbox.

Aaaaaand this is why I miss out on 64-player matches in BF3. >_<

  15. Wind Waker is one of my favorites. I think I'd play it over Twilight Princess, honestly. Its fluid combat is fun, its battles are epic, its world is rather massive IMO, and its visuals are charming.

That, and I love how you can just explore it, and that there are islands to find everywhere, with stuff to do in between when you're sailing. I remember how fun it always was to blow up other boats or climb a watchtower and take it out.

And the final battle is pure epic.

It could have been the best, but the game starts to drag its feet after you hit the point where you have to collect the Triforce of Courage pieces.

This. It really does. :/ I can deal, but it's kinda harder to do that when Tingle's trying to rip you off every step of the way.

  16. Any name you guys want to call me is fine by me -.^

.Why don't we just address him a TTTMNRN.

Lol, maybe, but I wouldn't even do that for myself. Too much effort :/ I think I made the right choice here.

Pheosucks and a droid-like name just sound funny to me, though. :D

  17. Ah. Cool. Thanks, Teto. I'll probably change my name later, I dunno.

  18. More

    I want more

    Tell me more

I looked around for the introduce yourself thread, couldn't find it. I've seen it before, though. :|

    But anyway.. *ahem*

Hello, everyone. I'm... Going to bed. Goodnight, everyone!

And very well. I will shut up. :D
