So I've been reading this blog today, Sleep Talkin' Man. Basically, this guy talks in his sleep every night and says some freaking hilarious things, so his wife records them and they share the best on their blog.

A few of my current favorites: "Stop throwing dinosaurs everywhere! It's gonna take me forever to get the pterodactyls down from the wardrobe. Oh, you messy little velociraptors."

"This ginger ninja's gonna stick you with his syringa. Yeah."

"No, you're NOT going out like that. Your feathers all ruffled and beak covered in that nasty lipstick, and that excuse for a skirt. You look like one of those street-corner dirty chickens. Go back upstairs and put something decent on. You live under my coop, you behave and you dress like a good chicken! This is hard-boiled love, you know."

"Oi! Oi! Stay out of my poop, Magneto. You've been warned."

So I'm on Tumblr. This picture shows up:

Let's take a look at some of the comments, shall we?
"Obama begins charging a full power energy ball"
"That speech was probably 5 episodes long"
    "KAH-MEH-HA-MEH-HEALTHCAAAAAAAARE"
"This isn’t even his final term!"

    OH LA LA.

    THIS.

I was honestly about to go choke everyone in the student section last week when they were blowing those vuvuzelas while the visiting band AND we were performing. Not one of those people in that whole puppying crowd would be able to pull off what our band has been doing for 32/33 (lost count lol) years in a row now. Most of them wouldn't even be able to pick up an instrument and play Jingle Bells or something. What really tickles me is when someone openly tries to make fun of you for being in band. Some poophead (from a different school) was actually giving me grief about it to my face the other day. This was basically my response to him, though it applies to anyone that would dare attack me for doing what I love. For the record, "athletics" can be replaced with anything else someone may be involved in, though the guy in question is an athlete.

"Yeah buddy, you're not the one getting a standing ovation after performing a class-A solo piece at a music festival. You're not the one that your peers actually look up to as a friend and mentor. And my passion, my gift is something I will have forever. Even in my old age, I'll still have my music. Outside of high school and possibly college, you most likely will never get anything out of your precious athletics. I have more talent and potential at this stage of my life than you ever will in your entire lifetime. And here's the kicker: I can only keep getting better. I'm not approaching the end of my glory days, oh no, they're only beginning. And while your athletic events may be spur-of-the-moment entertainment for the student body and parents I pour every ounce of my soul into the music I play, and it not only entertains, but can touch the spirits of people listening and linger on even after the performance is long over with. Because music isn't merely a skill, it's expression, raw emotion. You will never be able to touch the hearts of people like I can, ever. And frankly, I pity you, because you're either so full of yourself that you feel like you can step on people without some sort of retribution, or feel so inadequate that you feel the need to try to tear others down to give yourself a feeling of superiority. I feel no shame in doing what I love, and if you have a problem with it, you can shove it up your bumhole and just try to be as successful as I've been thus far."

    Oi.

Admittedly, that was one of my angrier rants. I don't usually like to brag about myself, but I felt like bringing up my achievements and skill just to illustrate how stupid he was being. I may feel insecure a lot, but I know I'm great at what I do. I've got the ratings/scores and skill to prove it. I'm genuinely respected by other musicians for what I do, and am personally honored when they come to me for advice or assistance. It's something I'm very proud of, and one sure way to get me really angry really quickly is to attempt to mock and ridicule someone because of something they love and take pride in.

    Okay, rant over.

So awesome music, stunning visuals, flags and swords flying everywhere, and people making shapes on a field isn't entertaining enough?

    [/joke]

I hate it when people don't respect the marching band at football games. We work our asses off to entertain these people.

So I found out that Fear Itself: Deadpool was written by Christopher Hastings, who is one of my favorite comic authors. For those who don't know, Chris is the guy who writes the Adventures of Dr. McNinja.

I need to buy this one.

Dude, that whole ending. I was trying not to cry. 'Cause my mom was watching me play. I cried anyways.

giantearth (IRL friend of mine that's on IRC occasionally) and I are playing ALttP on the Virtual Console right now. His idea. He likes to watch me suffer through this game because before you start getting the sword/armor/shield upgrades your life is absolute shit and the game is difficult as anything. Hrrrrng

We just beat Thieves' Town, soon to the Ice Palace....least favorite thing ever. I don't want to know how many deaths I've already racked up.

    I got a couple for y'all.

First one's rather humorous. Like a couple people have mentioned, my first time through Forsaken Fortress is probably my most memorable. . . But for a bit of a different reason. My brother and I were youngins, and he was watching me play. I kind of liked the BGM, so I turned up the volume really high. I figured since I didn't have my sword, there WOULD BE NO ENEMIES RITE? I MEAN RITE? So I was like, "I gots this bro" and was being all super stealthy bright green ninja. Then I enter one of the doorways in that central area. I see keese and turn around like, "YAH NO THIS IS THE WRONG WAY" and try another door. No enemies, so I continue down the hall and reach the cauldron room.

It was silent for a moment, and then all of a sudden there's this freaking demonically loud, squeaky "NYEEEEEHH NYEEEEEEHHH! NYEH NYEHHHH!" out of FLAPPING NOWHERE while these little red devils drop from the FLAPPING CEILING. I freak and throw the controller while my brother freaks out so badly that he jumps and flips over the back of the couch while poor Link gets stabbed to death by grinning, demonic devil-babies. I was too scared to play a game for a year after that.

And thus began a long running gag that we still joke about even today whenever one of us plays that game. True story.

So, I was sitting with DR. SHRUBBERY! at lunch.

"I'm thinking of making an account on Hyrule.net," I said.

He then responded, "DO IT! It's awesome!"

    "Okay."

    So I did.

Fondest greetings to everyone here. I'm Treemotan, though you can call me Mo or Morgan if you so desire. Pretty much everyone ends up calling me Mo online anyways. I've been a Zelda fan for about as long as I could hold a game controller in my hands, and even today I still love every bit of it. My favorite game in the series is probably A Link to The Past, primarily because it was the first one I ever played. I'm an avid gamer of all sorts, however, and play several games spanning many consoles, both imported and not. The iDOLM@STER is currently the fandom I've poured the most into, however.

I'm a young lady of many interests, though my most passionate pursuit is music. I've been playing the flute for seven years, though I also sing and play the ocarina and hammered dulcimer. I am interested in French culture and language, and speak a bit of French as well. I cosplay at conventions as various characters, from pretty much anything I take a fancy to. I also draw and write, and am currently planning out an RP, a webcomic, and possibly a novel. I'm looking forward to a fun time here, hope we all get along.

Oh yeah, and I know that jerkface DR. SHRUBBERY! in real life. *steals his hat again*
