  1. "All patched up and good to go," I smile to Fintan after I'm done with fixing his wound.

I decided to act normal to him again since he does to me. We'll get our chance to talk.

"Thank you," Fintan says while getting back up.

"That's ok," I reply while putting his adhesive dressing back in his bag.

He slowly turns to me and inhales. "Melaina I just w-"

"We need to focus now Fintan. As you always say," I answer, still busy with rummaging through his bag. "Don't you?" I add while looking him in the eyes.

He sighs. "I do. We do need to focus on getting the next part of the blade and getting Caoilainn back."

I stand up. "Good, let's get all our stuff and head to Lanayru then." I turn around and want to leave when Fintan calls my name again.

"Melaina?" he asks and it almost sounds pleading.

    I turn around. "Yes?"

  2. I exit my tent and sit on the hard ground. I look up to the sky. The stars shine bright tonight.

    I can't sleep.

It's not the fact that we are in a very hot environment or that we were almost burned to a crisp today... It's because of Fintan. I mean, he's been acting so strange the past few days... First he's pretty cold with me to the point that he almost ignores me, and he just ran off a few hours ago claiming he needed some fresh air? In an area full of demons? I mean sure, he came back unharmed, but the look on his face was so... odd... It wasn't anything I had ever seen on his face before.

I sigh, loudly. Maybe too loud.

    "Can't sleep?" Fintan whispers.
I gasp. I didn't know he wasn't inside his tent either. "No... Looks like I'm not the only one," I reply, a little bit annoyed with him. What, now I'm good enough again to talk to?

"Is there something wrong?" he asks.

Honestly? "I think I should be the one to ask that question," I answer, my annoyance now clearly audible.

"Melaina I-" he sighs. he stands up and sits back down next to me.

"What's been going on with you?" I ask. "You're my best friend since... Well since forever, and now you're acting like you don't know me? I mean, I know I can be mean sometimes, but not to you right? You know I'm not actually like that right?"

He keeps on looking down. "Of course I do but-"

I interrupt him. "But what, Fintan?"

  3. ((I'm still alive, I was busy after Paris with my orchestra and boyfriend and stuff... But I read everything and I'm back!))

"We will," Link replies with a smile. "Bye!"

"Goodbye friends!" Gorko laughs loudly and we walk back to the bird statue.

"So we just get unto your birdies and we fly away to Eldin?" I ask.

"Loftwings, and yes," Zelda answers softly.

    "Who takes who?" Leo asks.

The Hylians decide quickly, and I will have to go onto Zelda's bird with her.

Link and Sault go first, and they are flung up into the sky in a column of wind.

Next are me and Zelda, and we do the same. I'm a little bit nervous, though I would never admit it.

Once in the sky, we start falling again, but luckily, Zelda quickly whistles for her purple bird-excuse me, loftwing. We grab onto it, and Zelda keeps it flying at the same place to wait for the others. Once everyone is there, we fly to a red column that's clearly visible above the clouds. It makes a large hole, and we hover above it.

    "Ready?" Link yells. "Jump!"

I already have the cloth ready to hold up when we have to land, and after a few seconds of plummeting towards the red land beneath us I open it. I land softly on the ground, next to Fintan.

"That was pretty awesome," I say to him.

    "Hmm..." Fintan mumbles back.

I raise an eyebrow at him, but he walks to the front of the group.

"Ok guys, everyone stay vigilant. Sault, do not leave Link's side. Ready?" he says.

    We nod.

    "Ok then. Let's go."

  4. ((I'm going to Paris until tuesday, I won't have any internet there, so keep it up while I'm gone! Bye!))

  5. "Fine," I reply. "Are you going to be ok?" I ask. He still has pain, he's just too polite to mention it.

    He nods quickly. "I am."

"Are you sure?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

He sighs and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Melaina. I'm fine."

I watch his hand and feel the warmth through the thin fabric of my clothes.

    "I'm fine," he repeats softly.

"Ok then...Good night Fintan..." I say.

    "Good night," he smiles.

I give him a small smile back and turn around to go to bed.

When I lay down, I think about the fact that I'm so glad he's back. I mean sure, we have some contrasts, but still, he's my best friend. He's the only one that has never been mad at me when I was acting mean or thought I knew everything better. He never left my side. I smile briefly and shift around in my bed until I fall asleep.

  6. I'm walking forward without paying any attention. My thoughts are with what happened with Fintan.

Suddenly someone stops me. "Melaina?" It's Zelda. "Are you ok?" she asks, worried.

I blink a few times and nod quickly.

"Are you sure? Did something happen?" she asks. "Maybe you should sit down..." she says, pulling me softly towards a bench.

"I'm fine..." I reply but I let her guide me to it and we sit down.

    "What happened?" she asks.

"It's Fintan..." I say, and I tell her everything that just happened.

"Hmm..." she mutters when I'm finished and she has a troubled look on her face. "Do you believe Caoilainn?" she asks suddenly.

"What?" I ask, a tad confused by her sudden question.

She turns at me. "She said that Fintan attacked her, and she looked pretty sure..."

I jump up. "You don't know Fintan. He would never do something like that."

She looks slightly startled by me being so cold all of a sudden. "Melaina I'm sorry I didn't want to insult anyone I just-"

"You don't know him. Stop thinking like you do. I don't know what was wrong with Caoilainn, saying something like that, but he wouldn't do that. Never. So just mind your own business, ok?" I snap at her. I don't look at her reaction, I just turn around and walk away.

  7. (I'm going to switch to Melaina now! Maybe I'll switch to Bryarly later on, but from now on I'll write from Melaina's now?)

"I will," I give Caoilainn a small smile. "I'll keep you posted."

    She nods and starts eating.

I walk out and decide to look at Fintan's favorite spot to meditate. My stomach feels weird, I just can't imagine Fintan doing something like that. He's been my best friend since we were kids. I know him better then anyone, and he's the kindest person I've ever met. He would never hurt his friends, never. Maybe if I find him I can ask him what's going on.

I push some branches aside and step on the stones. I see him sitting in the middle, sitting on the ground.

    "Fintan?" I ask softly.

    He doesn't reply.

I frown, but go sit next to him. "Hey," I say.

He keeps his eyes closed and ignores me.

    "Fintan?" I ask.

    No reply.

"Fintan," I say, now more firmly.

    He still doesn't flinch.

"Fintan! What's your deal?" I ask, a bit angry and I put my hand on his shoulder.

He suddenly opens his eyes, irritated. "What," he sighs, bored.

"What's going on with you? This is not how I know you..." I tell him, worried.

He sighs again. "Just leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone."

"Fintan, don't be so... Harsh... That's not how I know you..." I say softly.

He looks in my eyes and grabs my arm. "Leave. Me. Alone."

I shake myself loose and turn around. When I'm a good distance away, I sit down on a tree stump.

Those eyes that stared at me... They were amber colored, sure... But they were not Fintan's.

  8. "Are you ok Sault?" I ask him.

He looks confused but nods his head. "I'm fine, thank you..." he answers.

"Ok..." I mutter. He doesn't look ok. I shrug it off and look at Callia.

"Do you miss this place?" she asks me.

I sigh. "Of course I do..."

"Me too," Callia sighs as well.

"But it's weird you know, I feel like I belong to the surface. Like I was destined to live there," I admit.

"It's not weird, I think we all have that feeling," Callia smiles.

    "Maybe," I say quietly.

"Hey guys!" Leo yells when he runs at us. "We can get all the supplies we want," he smiles.

"That's great, let's start gathering then," Callia says, walking up to the Bazaar.

Groose and Zurin have already gathered a number of supplies, and we help them bringing it outside. Groose calls his loftwing and makes a first trip to the surface. When we have more supplies he's already back and he makes two more trips in total. We don't take as much as we did the first time, because we don't want everything to be lost again, we need to be cautious...

"That was it. Shall we head back to the surface?" I ask the group.

  9. "We have to hunt it down?" I ask, sounding doubtful and to my disgrace, scared. I am pretty freaked out by letting an evil creature hunt us down.

"Aw come on Bryar, we defeated Demise, a stupid creature won't be a problem," Groose smiles.

"Let's go search for Leo," Callia suggests. "Groose and Zurin, can you start buying some supplies?"

    "Sure," they reply.

Callia, Emzy and I head to the plaza.

"Since when did Groose start giving you a nickname Bryar?" Emzy jokes.

Callia laughs. "Yeah, when did that happen?"

I blush slightly. "It's nothing. He does that to everyone."

"No he doesn't," Callia smiles. "Well he did to Zelda and we know how that turned out," she winkes at Emzy.

"Well maybe he misspoke," I say.

"Maybe. Or not," Emzy whispers to Callia loud enough for me to hear and they start to laugh.

  10. "Here we are," I smile to Sault.

He looks astonished by the view of our home town. "This is beautiful." he breathes.

"It is," I laugh. "Why don't we give you a quick look around? In the meantime we can look for Zurin and our friends and ask the headmaster about supplies."

"Good idea," Leo says. "Let's start by going to the knight academy."

We show him around and tell him how our education system works. Finally we stop by the headmaster.

"I'll go ask him, you guys can continue without me," Leo says.

"Ok, see you later," Callia replies.

We show him the sparring hall, tell him where the Goddess statue used to be and we end in the Bazaar.

"So here we get all our goods," Callia explains as we enter. "You have a potion shop, a scrap shop, a-"

"BRYARLY! CALLIA!" Groose and Emzy interrupt us while they run towards us. They hug us tight and Groose lifts me of the ground.

"We're so glad to see you two," Emzy smiles. "We missed you guys!"

"We missed you too," I smile to them.

"Yes, definitely," Callia says happily. "Sorry to ruin this moment, but do you two have any idea where Zurin is?"

"Yeah, he's sitting with us," Groose points at a table at the back of the bazaar.

  11. ((Have fun! :) ))

I didn't sleep much this night. The only thing I could think about was how our place has been ruined, and how our friends were close to being killed.

"I want to go to the sky," I tell Callia when we are eating breakfast.

"What? Why?" Fintan asks before Callia can react.

"I want to talk to Zurin, ask him about the demon lords. And when I'm there, I can ask if we can have some new supplies to replace the burned ones we can't get from the surface," I say. "And I want to see our friends... Plus, they're good helpers and fighters, they'll be useful and they want to get back."

Fintan nods. "Ok. I think it's best that you don't go alone though."

    "I'll come," Callia says.

"I would like to come too," Sault smiles.

Fintan looks at him, doubtful. "I'll have to ask Sheik."

Saults smile disappears. "Of course," he nods.

  12. (There weren't much other Hylians mentioned but I'll come up with a few ;) To make it more interesting, let's say that Emzy stayed there too, ok?)

I'm embarrassed to admit that I had almost forgot about the others.

    Groose.

I had grown quite fond of him, you know. He always helped me when I wanted to change something in my house design or something. He used to be so annoying when we were younger. He bullied almost every one of us, except for Zelda. But now he had become a real friend, one to keep. And now no one knows where he is.

And Emzy, she's been my friend for so long... Good thing she almost never gets scared.

    "Who was here?" Fintan asks.

Callia sighs. "Groose definitely. For Cawlin and Strich I'm not sure, they often came to visit him. And Emzy of course."

"They're all alone," Karane sobs while walking around the rubble. "And in danger."

"Hey, Groose and Emzy are very strong," I smile to her. "They'll be alright."

  13. Tears start to roll down my cheeks. We worked on this for so long. This was our dream, where we belonged to be. And now, it's all gone. Nothing's left but a large pile of ash. "No..." is all I can bring out.

"This is all my fault," Zelda speaks, surprisingly clear.

"Zel..." Link says, putting his hand on her shoulder. She shrugs it off.

"No! You know it's my fault!" she yells. "They want me."

The Sheikahs look surprised to hear that. "Zelda," Fintan tries.

"No Fintan. You all know it's true. Especially your group!" she yells. "You know that they only want me," she whispers.

Sorry and fright is all I feel for her.

The Sheikahs look down to express their sorry.

    Zelda is right.

    They want her.

  14. "You know what I don't understand?" Callia asks me.

"No?" I say, turning to her.
"How can there still be demon lords here when Demise was defeated by Link?" she asks me.

"I've been wondering about that too..." I admit. "But then you can also ask why Zurin or Batreaux didn't disappear then..."

She sighs. "You're right about that... Maybe we should go back to the sky and ask Zurin? Or send him a letter or something?" she proposes.

I nod. "That's a good idea. We'll see what we'll do when we are back in our camp."

"Good. Hey I'm going to see where Fledge is. Want to come too?" she asks while standing up.

"Sure, what else would I do," I smile and I follow her lead.

  15. "Hey Leo?" I ask when he turns to go back to the others. "What will he do with Zelda now?"

He looks at me. "I don't know. But don't worry, they're probably just interested in her powers, like we are."

That calms me down. I nod slowly. "Yeah, probably..."

"Are you ok?" he asks and he walks up to me.

I sigh. "Yeah sure... It's just, we don't know these people. They seem harmless and nice, but what if they want to use Zelda for her powers? What if-"

"Bryarly, when did you became so suspicious?" he asks. He's worried.

"I don't know... I just want things to work out on the surface here you know... It's just so nice here and I really want us to stay..." I say.

"We will, just don't you worry," he smiles. "Let's go back."

    "Good idea," I smile too.

  16. After a good night of sleep, I get up to see everyone already eating. I join them and after some eating and chatting, Sault and Caoilainn take Pipit and Link to see how to repair our weapons.

"Bryarly?" I turn around to see Fintan standing behind me.

    "Yeah?" I ask.

"Can I ask you something in private?" he asks.

I try to look around a bit to see if anyone of my friends has heard it, but they are all busy doing something.

    I nod, a bit confused.

He takes me to a room next to this one, and sits down on a pillow.

    "Please," he gestures.

I sit down in front of him.

"Can I see your arm please?" he asks.

    "What?" I repond, very confused.

    "Please?" he insists.

That's when I realise he saw the wound yesterday. And now it's gone. This isn't good.

  17. "Thanks," I say to Sault as he hands me a piece of bread. He then goes sitting by the Sheikah across the room.

They've been very friendly to us, but it seems a bit weird to me that we are allowed to stay here. They look like they are mysterious and want to stay like that. Why did they let us in?

    "Bryarly?" Callia suddenly says.

    "Yeah?" I reply.

"You're bleeding..." she says as she comes sitting next to me. "Sault? Can we have some bandages?"

"Of course," he says and he runs away to get some.

I look down and she's right, my arm has a rather large, thin cut across it. It doesn't look that deep, so I figure it's not that bad.

"Let me take a look," Zelda says softly as she sits in front of me. She carefully takes my arm in her hands, and looks at it.

"Zel? What are you doing?" I ask her.

She ignores me and continues to stare at the wound. Suddenly the weirdest thing happens. A faint light appears around it and the bleeding stops. The cut starts to heal, and after a few seconds, my skin looks as good as new.

    "Zelda...." I whisper.

She looks at me, as surprised as I am.

  18. "That was so weird," I sigh.

"I know, what just happened?" Callia asks as she stands up from my bed. I'm staying with her and Fledge until my house is finished.

"I have no idea," I sigh again. "They don't seem dangerous."

"No, I'm quite sure of that too, I mean, if they are like Impa, they are here to help us..." she mutters.

I sit next to her. "What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"Impa's duty was to protect Zelda during her quest and to aid Link. That means that if her purpose was to aid Zelda and Link, why not just our people in general?" she asks me.

"I follow the first part, but why and how would she protect people that live in the sky?" I ask her.

"Maybe we were always meant to come down here and stay," she replies simply while looking at me.

    She could be right.

  19. (We will make it into a fanfic, trust me ;)

    "I don't," I sigh. "Let them go."

Link turns to me. "But what if-"

"Link," I interrupt him. "Don't they all remind you of someone?"

Link glances down and Zelda lets out a deep sigh. Groose looks away from them. I guess it's really hurtful for them.

"Link..." Callia insists softly. Everyone here, except for Leo knows.

    "Impa," Link finally sighs.

"Impa?" the guy named Fintan repeats confused.

  20. I watch the intruders as they are sitting on chairs in the group house. Their hands are tied behind their back, a thing I objected against to do. I don't know why, they don't look like enemies. I mean sure, they look kind of dangerous, well trained, good equipped and ready to fight but still. They remind me of someone... They remind me of Impa. I can tell the others think so too, doubt is visible on their faces.

There are four of them, two girls and two guys. It's weird because they are all blonde, tall, tanned and have amber eyes, with the exception of one of the guys who has light skin, brown hair and green eyes. It gives me the chills when I think he could be one of us...  The other guy looks calm and has his eyes closed. The pretty girl next to him looks like we are the weirdest creatures she has ever seen though I think we don't look that much different. Finally, the other girl looks like she would love to fight us.

Why aren't they trying to escape?

"Who are you," Link asks them firmly.

  21. I watch Callia as she sits on Fledge's lap in front of the campfire. I'm not jealous of one of them, though I admit I might be jealous of what they have. Their relationship looks just perfect to me. They are best friends, yet have plenty of moments when it's so clear they are made for each other and they are clearly in love. I'm not the childish girl from a year ago anymore, I'm grown up. But I have to admit that I still wish for the guy of my dreams to walk by. I still dream of true love, I think I'll just always will. I don't know why it matters that much to me, that's just who I am.

"Hey," Zelda says as she sits next to me.

    "Hi," I reply softly.

"So Link, Pipit, Karane and Leoni are heading out in the forest to look for more clues..." she sighs.

    "Are you worried?" I ask.

She nods. "I am. Since I fell through that tornado, I haven't stopped being worried and scared."

I don't know what to say to that.

"Maybe it's because I know what happened," she says calmly.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"In the past. The war..." she whispers.

"Zelda..." I breathe as I put my arm around her. I don't know what to say to her. She's a 17 year old girl with a mind that's thousands of years old. She's the goddess, I mean, it doesn't get more special then that... She's been through so much, and I can see in her eyes that just no one understands her. Not even Link.

  22. "What are we going to do?" Emzy sighs as she sits down on her usual chair at the group house.
"I have no idea," Link mutters. "Do you got any?" he asks Leoni, who is sitting at the back, a little separated of the rest.

I almost forgot he's down here with us too. Leoni used to be a knight back at Skyloft, but when he heard about us staying on the surface, he decided to come down too. He only joined a few days ago, so his house is being build after mine's ready.

    "Not really..." he replies softly.

"You're the one trained the most," Pipit says.

"And you have all the most experience," Leo tells him.

Link sighs loud. "Do you know what's going on?" he asks Zelda, who is sitting next to Link.

She's in deep thoughts apparently. Link puts her hand on her shoulder. "Zel?"

She is startled by his sudden touch, and looks up.

"Zelda?" Link replies, his voice a bit louder. "Do you know what's going on?"

She does, it's readable on her face.

Link takes her hand. "Zel? Tell us, please."

"I'm not sure," she tells us softly. "But I have some suspicions..."

  23. "Bryarly!" Callia yells.

"Yeah?" I yell back, putting down my book.

"Come over here, we found something! Quick!"

I sigh, and get out of my comfortable position on the bench in front of what will be my house. That stupid roof seems like it's never going to be finished.

A warm wind blows my hair back softly. I look around.

"Where are you guys?" I yell.

    "Here," I hear Emzy reply.

I run to where the sound of her voice was coming from. It's coming from behind our houses, out of the open meadow, a bit into the forest.

"What's wrong? Why is everyone here? Is there- What is that..." I mutter.

In front of where my friends are standing, there is something stuck in a tree. It's an arrow.

"Whose is that?" I ask, though I know the answer.

We never used arrows ever since we came down the surface. We never needed too, almost every monster here was gone.

"I have no idea," Link says, walking up to the tree. He carefully pulls the arrow out. "But it's not ours..."

  24. ((Guys, it's Melaina ;) Oh yeah, how old is Sheik? I've always imagined him to be like 20 something :P And ElwayGuy7, that's great, remember, you don't have to be a Sheikah ;) And welcome ButterflyBabyBlue! Now if everyone's ok, I'll switch to Bryarly for an instant, I think it'll be more interesting because the Sheikah's are coming ;) For anyone who's confused, ask me! Bryarly is a character adapted from the Adventure In Skyloft RP and fanfic, hope everyone's ok with this! I'll switch between her and Melaina, but it'll be clear from the context and all :) ))

    Name: Bryarly

    Gender: Female

    Age: 17

    Race: Hylian

Physical appreance: Long chocolate brown hair, light blue eyes. Still wears her knight uniform which consists of a red shirt, beige trousers and brown leather boots.

Short personality description: She's described by her friends as friendly and modest, and she had lived in Skyloft for 16 years until one of her best friends, Zelda, was kidnapped. Link, the boy she had a crush on, went out to save them. She, together with her other friends went after him. They learned that Zelda is the mortal goddess and that Link is the hero of legend. After saving Zelda, they all chose to live on the surface. Bryarly's no longer the naive girl that had a crush on Link, she's now grown up and has learned a lot from her previous adventure. But their group still hasn't discovered a lot of secrets from the surface.

    -------

"Groose, can you hand me that hammer?" Link yells from the rooftop.

"Sure thing," Groose replies and he hands it over.

"I can't believe this," I laugh. "My own place."

"It's just some walls and it hasn't even got a full roof yet," Emzy laughs.

    "I know. Still," I smile.

We're on the surface for some time now. I've lost track of time a bit. It's so pretty here. When we left, Gaepora held a graduation ceremony for us. We got our official diploma, and after the party, we left the day after, to Faron woods. The first week we went back and forth continuously between the sky and the surface for supplies, but those visits have become less and less. We learned how to grow our own crops, and how to recognise and use edible fruits and plants from the surface. We asked the Kikwi elder for permission to cut some of his trees down to use for building construction and the water dragon to take and use her water from a small river. Groose had really developed a skill for construction drawing during our adventure, so he drew a house for everyone of us, and we were free to say whatever we liked. We had build a large home to live in first, which later became the building we held birthday parties or other activities. We taught each other things we could do. Zelda and Link taught us to play the harp, Pipit and Emzy made sure everyone now was good at sword fighting and so on. Then Zelda and Link got their house first, followed by Callia and Fledge. Next was Emzy, then Groose, then Pipit and Karane and now, they are building mine. Everyone is having the time of their lives, it's so amazing here, and there's so much to discover.

I can't wait to see what the surface has left to offer.

  25. Hi! I would love to join! But first of all, is everyone ok with the fact that I'll still write from Bryarly as well as my new OC? If not, let me know. I'll start with my new OC, and write from Bryarly in the future. I'll switch in between, and I'll make it clear who I'm writing from! More info on Bryarly in my first entry from her POV.

    Name: Melaina

    Gender: Female

    Age: 17

    Race: Sheikah

Physical appearance: Ash blonde hair that reaches to her hips, amber eyes and tanned skin. She always has her long hair in a fishtail braid down her back and has the Sheikah eye with tear tattoed on her ankle. She wears blue clothing similar to young Impa, meaning loose pants and a tight top with yellow decoration around her neck. She has a yellow belt with a pouch and orange and red bracelets. She always has a bow and quiver on her back.

Short personality description: Was raised by her mother because her father had died during a battle. Her mother died too when she was 10 because of an illness. In battle if possible, she'll choose for stealth. She adores her bow and arrow, and crafted them herself. She also enjoys playing the harp. She's fast, but doesn't always think things through. She knows she's pretty, and that makes people sometimes think she's a bit pretentious. Admitted, she can be very mean to people, but she almost never means it. She's good friends with Sheik and Fintan though she does think Fintan's too serious and busy with his orders while she doesn't care too much about her obligations as a Sheikah.

    -------

"Catch," I say to Sheik as I throw him an apple from the top of the tree.

Though it flies what should be out of his reach, he catches it with ease, he's always been more agile than me.

"What was Fintan talking about earlier?" Sheik asks me.

"What?" I ask confused. I didn't hear anything from him.

"About intruders," Sheik continues while taking a big bite from his apple.

"Intruders? Really? Like what, Kikwi?" I joke.

"Like people from the sky..." Sheik says, looking at me.

I look at him too. "The sky? Hylians? On the surface? Did they learned their birdies to fly all the way down here?"

    "Apperantly," Sheik shrugs.

    "Weird..." I mutter.
