  1. It makes me especially sad cause I know that anime such as Attack on Titan Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, etc., etc. are all great, or at least known as such, yet I have no desire at all to even try and watch them.

  2. Only now it's been pushed to the end of 2017, does this mean we are getting the One Zelda to Rule Them All?

I hope the NX isn't a garbage gimmick system like WiiU. Fun as hell but when it sells that poorly it makes developers ignore it, which means less games and even less sales, and much less people playing. Maybe having a decent lineup and Zelda as a launch title will bring Nintendo out of their Dark World.

Not sorry about the terrible puns, but I am done.

If the dynamic open world they're making is anything at all similar to that of The Witcher 3 I will be a very happy Zelda fan. It'll be interesting to see how this new game feels compared to the extremely linear Skyward Sword.

  3. I have trouble fitting in with other fans of anime cause I watch maybe 1-2 new series a year. Instead I rewatch favorites until they make me sick, then I do it again.

Though I occasionally binge a new series on a whim, and most of those turn out okay. Kill La Kill was dope, definitely no regrets there.

How does Dragon Ball Super compare to the original manga? I want to watch it just for the new canon content, but I despise Goku's Japanese voice actor. Love the lady, hate her voice.

  4. I'm 25k words into this fantasy novel that I'm writing, and I'm realizing that it's different than anything I've read. Like, it's a world where magic and monsters exist, yet the narrator has been trapped as a slave in a castle where magic is banned so far. It's anything but boring, in my opinion, and there has been plenty of action (bloody action, political intrigue, some Lovecraftian tales), but there has been very little fighting.

That is about to change, since I'm sending the main character on a quest, but I may end up having to rewrite some early chapters to increase the excitement a little.

That sounds incredibly dope, actually. Most fantasy novels have the narrator in the midst of the world's fantastical goings-ons, either following the main character or personifying them. I'd read it.

  5. Hmm. Well I've always seen Zelda games as very lonely and sometimes even depressing. A cheerful character that's always ready to help you out eases that sense of loneliness a bit, but the only companions I've ever liked were Midna and Navi. Fi I guess wasn't too bad, though she was annoying at first.
It's easy to see why some don't like them, *cough*Knuckle makes a good point*cough* but I've always seen the companions as an integral part of the game. It wouldn't feel like Zelda if someone wasn't bothering you every so often with: "Remember how you're saving the world?! Get to it!"

That being said, I'd totally be fine with Zelda WiiU/NX not having a companion type character.

  6. Lmao. It's horrible but I always secretly laugh at people with huge chipmunk cheeks. Even worse is when they're thin as a twig but their face is still huge.

  7. I'm a bit chubby in the belly region due to my eating habits, so I've been trying to cut back on snacking and eat a little healthier. Every time I get used to it and start thinning down I get high and munch myself to death, and the whole process has to start over, haha. So far it hasn't been going all that well.

It's weird having super thin arms but a chubby torso.

  8. I think this is the one zelda game it's safe to not care about, since it's really just dynasty warriors but zelda. It's not a big deal, and it's probably not even going to be canon. Sort of like Link's crossbow training and such. Who cares?

The sad thing is it totally fits the fantasy I had when I was fifteen and I wanted link to command an army of hylians and gorons and zora and whatever and do battle with a bunch of moblins and shit like lord of the rings in hyrule field.

I've been wanting a game with Link vs. an army since before Wind Waker was announced. But even though this game is pretty much my 7yo self's dream, I probably won't even bother with it unless they can show something really impressive.

The cloned models, the repetitive gameplay of the Warriors' series, and the (so far) bland sounding story hasn't got my jimmies rustled.

  9. I'm getting it for the free WWHD download. I love Mario Kart games and it'll give me a reason to actual play my WiiU.

  10. It might have just been me, but I always felt a certain "brothers in arms" sort of connection to people I roleplayed with. It made it easier to talk and interact with them in the rest of the forums for me. But I'm a major introvert who gets nervous posting online, haha, so it may not be the case with others.

  11. Roleplaying was always fun, but it only really worked out if a bunch of people you were comfortable with were in it.

  12. Eh, whatever. I haven't been here in a while, so I have a valid excuse.

So what's been going on? This place seems pretty slow lately. When I used to be really active some 5~ years ago there would 30+ online nearly always. What happened?

  13. Hey, welcome back! I don't think I ever knew you, but I also just got back after a few years out of it.

Who are we even kidding anymore! *throws beer glass on the ground*  It's all gone to shit and you know it.

Good to see you're still around at least.

  14. Sigh... I probably won't get Black/White 2 in time for the Genesect. :(

I fscking hate how fast they come out with new games, every time I'm close to completing my Pokedex- "HAHA. 150 NEW POKEMON. What you got?! Sucka!" And to make it worse 3-4 of them are one-time only exclusives from events that I usually miss or cannot do. So glad for the GTS Negotiations that i just discovered three days ago.

After I get B/W2 I'm gonna trade with all of you. I WILL COMPLETE MY POKEDEX THIS TIME.

  15. Tom was worried. Many people had been leaving lately, apparently they had discovered a new shelter and were transporting people there to help out. A lot of the kids with engineering or matter manipulation gifts had also been sent over, which was weird. Most of them were always in trouble, and they had to wear 'suppression bands', more like glorified chokers, to prevent them from causing damage to the shelter. Most likely the damage causing their detour had been the work of matter manipulation gone wrong.

But aside from all that, his gift hadn't been working. Normally with his short-distance teleportation he and Tyr could have arrived and been eating already. It wasn't only him either, many of Section-C's occupants gifts had been acting up or flat out not working. Bob had lost control while heating some tea, burning himself alive. That was weirdest part though, his flames couldn't be put out by normal means such as a fire extinguisher or pouring water on it. Normally a guard had to be somewhat nearby with a suppression gun to help put it out, but he hadn't even been in the same section when the accident happened.

He was snapped out of his train of thought by Tyr elbowing him in the arm.

"You haven't even touched your paste yet, and you've been giving that wall the dirtiest look I've ever seen you give."

Tom immediately relaxed his facial muscles, he hadn't even realized he was scowling.

"I was just thinking... everything that's been happening, the gifts acting up, the other sanctuary... none of it makes sense. I mean, sure. There could be other survivors out there, but they come in ALL the time, almost every day. Sometimes more often than that. And it's the weirdest thing, but... I swear gifts only act up when their used close to the border between Sections C and D. Maybe something wrong is happening over there, that is where the guys with the really powerful gifts go. To keep them from hurting others." He sighed. "Tonight, I'm gonna check it out."

"We aren't allowed in Section D, they'll put suppression bands on you and maybe lock you up." Tyr frowned at him. "You still gonna do it?"

Tom grinned. "And you're coming with me. Suppression doesn't work on you, and you gift will be really helpful."

  16. This sound pretty fun, it's a great idea for a roleplay too. What was your inspiration?

    Name: Tom Imura

    Age: (Looks) 16 (Actually) 365

    Monster Lineage: Demon's Vessel

Origin: An American/Japanese hybrid, he was always looked down upon by other japanese, especially the samurai. Though a samurai in training himself, he was never really ready to do what was necessary. He fled the night before his first duel, hoping to catch a ride on a ship to Europe. But he chose the wrong ship, it belonged to a cult of religious zealots who then captured him. He was sacrificed to the demon they worshiped, but that also didn't go according to plan. The demon took an interest in him and decided to use his crippled state as a doorway into the world. But the demon overestimated his own power, he could not fully control him. Tom was given immortality, but it was far more a curse than a blessing.

  17. I'm an incredibly fast learner.

    I procrastinate like nobody's business.

I hate, I hate, I HATE when people misspell something on purpose, or when they use 'txt spk.' And the like.

I remember the random, odd little bits from movies and books, rather than the significant events. (See above, a line from Cpt. James Hook from the movie 'Hook', played by Dustin Hoffman.)

Being in close proximity to bugs that could touch me freaks me out. Moths and such are okay, spiders and scorpions are the worst, and I'd rather not have to catch the cricket that just escaped my lizard's terrarium.

I spend about 6 hours a day on my Xbox. Double on my laptop.

    I'm incredibly nostalgic.

Holy crap, True Gamer, you live? Haven't seen you in ages. (I also haven't been on in ages, but you were gone before I left.)

  18. The year is 2353, and ever since the mysterious asteroid the government confiscated 30 years ago, the world has been a much different place. The world now has a single government. Technological breakthroughs happen almost daily, and animals that were extinct millions of years ago are now roaming the Earth like they never left. But it is in the humans that the biggest changes are happening. They all look normal, but they are far, far from it.

Most children at the age of five are running around, playing with toys, and exhausting their parents. But then there are the ones who shoot fire out of their hands, fly away when they don't want to go to bed, turn invisible and hide from their friends, and so on.

Those who show signs of being 'Gifted' are taken by the government and never seen again, leaving no traces they even existed. Birth certificates and all other forms of identification are disposed of, making it as if they never existed in the first place. They are taken to a massive circular underground bunker, which according to the rest of the world doesn't even exist. Going nearly a mile deep and almost five miles in diameter, it is the pinnacle of technology's advancements. The children live their lives brainwashed under the pretense that the world is in a nuclear fallout, and they are the last of the surviving humans.

In actuality, it is a prison to protect the regular humans from those with more dangerous powers. There are five sections in the bunker, dividing the Gifted by rank of their power. Section A1-10, Section B1-10, Section C1-10, Section D1-10, and the central command center, where the scientists and military personal stay and maintain the facility. The prison has gone for 20 years without any complications, and many Gifted have arrived since the start of the facility. Too many.

Tom has lived in the Paradise Shelter for nearly his entire life. They found him when he was 6 years old, stumbling around in the desert. They said it was a miracle he hadn't been exposed to any radiation. They took him in, gave him his room, and then they discovered his 'Gift'.

Fast forward 11 years. He is considered a mentor to a majority of the children in his section, and looked up to by many. He also teaches Tang Soo Do Karate and Bushido in the place of his recently deceased master. He has many friends and few enemies, so, naturally, he starts to worry when some of them begin to disappear without any notice.
