  1. The reason I think why Galaxy's graphics are so detailed is because of the game's low polygon count. All that's in the background is basically a black sky full of stars. Since that doesn't take very much detail, everything else goes into texturing of the planet's environment and the character designs.

  2. I don't think there are any preps or an equivalent at my school, and being rich (a la prep) doesn't get you much popularity, nor does being on a team like football (since our varsity is embarrassing). Popularity is determined usually by two factors: how you stand in class academic rankings, and how involved you are in clubs.

I pretty much have both: I'm in my school's Seminar program (students in Seminar always become the valedictorian/salutatorian of their graduation class--usually both) and in my school's Lvl. 2 Japan Bowl squad. As far as extracurricular activities go, I'm a lot of clubs, I'm in Sophomore Executive (the class' representatives), and I also do

    (guess which one is me).

Plus, quite a few people at school read my fanfiction. I think that's pretty cool, since I hear from a lot of writers that they get teased for doing stuff like writing fanfiction.

  3. I've actually never been seriously injured or anything of that sort. But there was this one time when I fell off my bed and there was a clipboard leaning against the boxspring with the metal clip facing up. It scrapped upwards against my left thigh and I got this horrible gash to the point that I couldn't even limp for a day or two. That was five years ago, and I still have the mark where the scab was.

  4. Wow. I've gotta say, thats the first school picture I've ever seen that actually looks nice. ^_^

Haha, thanks, and that's what I thought, too! I have a complex about how I look in front of a camera, and I was worried about how my picture would turn out, since in my Freshman picture, I had total scenester hair (which was unintentional because the heat made it look like that). But I'm really happy about how this year's picture turned out.

  5. This is my 07-08 school ID. My ID number and last name are taken off for security's sake, but if you know where to look, you know my last name already. :)

And this is the picture itself without the ID bordering.

  6. dewa mata ashita (for lack of being able to write Japanese symbols)

    今までどのくらい日本語をべんきょうしてきましたか。

Ima made dono kurai Nihongo o benkyoo shitekimashita ka?

How long have you been studying Japanese?

Even in Japan, writing in Romaji is common. Along with writing the characters, school kids are also required to learn to write in Romaji as well (common curtesy for people who can't read characters).

  7. 1 month and 25 days!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! YES!!!!

    Not really, check it out:

Look's like Sakurai's gonna make us wait just a little bit longer.

  8. Subbed Anime really can teach you stuff

Subbed anime as a way to learn Japanese is actually one of the more less effective ways to learn a language. You're better off with phrase books/reference books, or taking a Japanese course in school.

  9. We all know that (in everywhere but Japan) that Wii Sports was packaged in with the console. This 11.19 (one year after Wii's NA launch), the Wii Zapper comes out, plus a new demo game of sorts packaged with it--Link's Crossbow Training!

Even though it's just a demo game, do you think the graphics have been touched up a little bit from TP? After all, there's a huge graphical gap between Twilight Princess and, say, MP3/Galaxy/Brawl.

  10. A few months ago I was tossing ideas back and forth about a potential Zelda game plot, and those ideas evolved into my current fanfiction. I was thinking, "Wow, it's so like Zelda plus the 21st century!"

  11. That review says its graphics aren't as good as PS3 or XBOX360

You don't play graphics, you look at them.

And have you read articles about Galaxy where the reviewer says the graphics are practically on par with 360/PS3? :D

  12. Other than English, I'm proficient in Japanese (here I come, Japan Bowl 2008!), and I speak a little Tagalog (from my parents), Korean (from my Korean friends) and Spanish (which is inevitable since Mexico is fifteen minutes away).

Boku wa Eigo to, Nihongo o ryuuchou ni hanasu de, chotto Firipingo to, Kankokugo to, Supeingo hanasu dekimasu. :D

  13. This is my deviantART. It's mainly art related to my Zelda fanfiction (maps, character designs, visual sneak peeks/interpretations of certain scenes, etc). There are also screenshots of story hits/reviews milestones (ie, ___ made x0000 hits, ___ got x00 reviews, etc).

  14. I took piano lessons from when I was twelve until I was fourteen. I quit then because all my piano teachers were middle-aged women with very low fuses for patience, and usually lost their temper with me. It kind of traumatized me in a way, so I just quit lessons. Even after that, I still played the piano and I continued my lessons by using what I learned from my teachers and taught myself.

My brother also teaches me since he's more hardcore with the piano than I am: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw28IRsL4Ww.

  15. About 1.5 hours. But I broke it into two sessions: I did the bottom of the breasts upwards last night and I finished the rest this morning. Her apron thing and the hem of her skirt took the longest obviously, probably 30-35 min.
