  1. Did you guys hear about this comet that is passing close to the sun and we will have a space probe establishing a rendezvous?

this is a first for a lot of things in human history.

  2. These rising tensions are just that. Rising.

however the tensions have been there for thousands of years - give or take a few hundred years.

All these atrocities are occurring but in truth they have been for a very long time.

  3. there are more fascinating and mysterious animals IMO.

Tardigrades / Tuns also known as Water bears. Basically indestructible.

then there is the jellyfish i have forgotten the name of, but has the ability to regenerate its own cells with brand new ones - effectively living for ever.

then there's the giant squid, of which we have not found a living one.

    theres also the Zombie Wasp.

and ants don't ever sleep, or have traffic jams.

  4. Awesome you guys are reading the kind of books i read!

read Dune earlier this year, freaking 11/10.

Have been meaning to read both Hyperion & Left hand of darkness.

I read my first terry pratchett book (Guards! Guards!) around 2010 and while i enjoyed it, he is not a favourite author and i haven't bought any books since.

  5. Community is pretty great and I suggest it to everyone. It's the sitcom to end all sitcoms, similar to how "Cabin in the Woods" was the end to all Horror flicks. Season 4 was just okay in my book. Dan Harmon was fired durring season 4, but season 5 (current season) features him back on the show, or rather, behind it. I'd show you a clip from it but you really gotta know the characters to really understand how great each moment is. Season 1 is a slow start, but an essential one.

    wait what?

Huge horror fan here, and in what way was cabin in the woods an end to horror?

Blu-ray is a dying medium and i would not bother putting any money into it...

Postman is british, Mailman is american. Im sure they can understand each other though.

  6. Knuckle - Cool. What did you choose to study? and what job are you trying to get into?

    T1G - I was around from about 2006 - 2009, mod/admin from way back

Cirt - Thanks buddy, whats been happening with you?

Teto - Done. you choose the time, I'll choose the place.

Phoenix561 - death to the non-believers!!! i think you were the one that complained the most when I left, how have you been?

Sahaqiel - A true shame because there is alot of potential here, both with the websites and the users, I'll speak with Dustin soon and see what I can do. Yes. Unfortunately, the older you get, the more responsibilities and distractions you earn.. So it becomes harder to spend time doing the things you enjoy. You opened a store though, thats pretty cool, do you take requests and do you ship to Australia?

Teto (pt 2) - Quite the RP-er I see, have you done much writing? I'd love to start to get into it one day, as I do love to read so it seems like a natural thing to want to do. On that note, I am quite sure the forum has matured alot while I was gone.. Probably less teenage whining

Sahaqiel (pt 2) - Doing something is always better than doing nothing and I commend you for trying.

Can't say how long I will be around - no one really can, better to just go with the moment as the moments come.

No one person is to blame for the activity or inactivity of any website, but give me a website of friends over a website of fans any day of the week. That is the kind of website I would prefer to run to be honest.

As I said earlier, the forum has matured a lot, and I remember you Sahaqiel being a whiney emo kid. I'm glad to see you're done with that and actually doing something with yourself! Being emo was never cool =)

I'll check back in a couple of days. still have lots to do in this new place.

  7. hey guys whats up?

I see some familiar names around here still =)

For those that don't know me, I'm an a ex-mod/admin from a long time ago...  I enjoy long walks on the beach, and discussions with anyone, about any thing! so, Hello!

for those that DO know or remember me, fill me in with all the awesome things you've done since I last spoke to you! and... GO!

I've been doing lots of things which i'll get around to sooner or later, but most recently is that I'm about to move cities (tomorrow!). Totally packed, so had a few hours to kill, thought I'd drop in on my favourite Zelda community.

still doing the usual - kicking ass, one day at a time.

    why not?

  10. Hello Hyrule.net

Just about everyone on the forum who I was close with has either left or become inactive. I am one of the oldest remaining members of the site but gradually over the last year I have become less and less active mostly due to other commitments in my real life. And in the coming year they will be taking up even more of my time.

To all the users on the forum, thanks for all the discussions we’ve had over the years. I have to admit I’ve been impressed by some of the intellectual opinions some of you have had at such a young age.

Call me pretentious if you like, but I will leave you with some advice that helped me when I was younger – maybe you wont appreciate it right now, but when you are a bit older, it will help you discover who you truly are.

  11. we already have the technology to terraform mars, insert a large enough mixture of certain gasses (I dont remember which), and we would be on our way to creating an atmosphere.

But who is gonna fund a thing like that?

  12. when you can, use .wav or .flac files over mp3s and m4as.

im sure your looking for the most budget way possible, but a good way to get into mixing is to go out and buy some turntables. you can get a decent, cheap set for a couple of hundred.

  13. it is most likely an independant, and im sure there is a cash limit somewhere over a couple of thousand dollars - to protect the lenders interests

and even then, why not take out a loan? assuming the person is paying you back with increased interest, you'd still be making profit with your high interest rates over the banks.
