    Rewatched Monsters University, and still hold that I prefer it over the original Monsters Inc., if only because I relate to it so much. It came out the summer after I dropped out of university, so it big time resonated when I watched it. Such a hopeful message.

    Princess Arete was on Netflix and I just finished it. Really great movie, with a clear feminist theme throughout. Enjoyed it a lot.

    I legit want to go there though. Friend of mine went, and it seemed good. I would absolutely work up a lot of anxiety about going in though.
    Puppies do this too, with less claws (although this is totally adorable too)

    Hand study I did today in class kind of upped my confidence in straight up pencil drawing. Looking at it again now, I'm totally not worried about my progress.

    I remember at some point last year, I noticed a movie called White God; a Hungarian movie about dogs who rebel against mankind. In reality, it was more like Oldboy by way of Homeward Bound. Early on I felt like it was going to end up being Grave of the Fireflies/Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but with dogs. Oldboy makes a pretty good comparison though.
    It also took a lot of liberties with common sense, which ended up being unintentionally funny. It was hard to feel engaged with the sentimental ending considering that, but I still enjoyed it. I surprised myself with how quickly I sat up when the dogs started getting bloodthirsty. I was pretty into it. Dog revenge is my genre.

    I hate cats
    I am so strongly repulsed by cats that it overrides the logical part of me which says that, really, they're okay. I just don't like cats. I don't understand how people can coexist with them. They scratch people for fun and obviously don't want to be kept in the company of people. Like, they do a good job of making me want to set them free, and I think that's why they're so hideously terrible.

    Well, in this case is kind of was. I was too convinced I'd done nothing wrong that I didn't realise that, deep down, I was being a generally lazy and inconsiderate flatmate, not really pulling my weight with chores. I got worked up with excuses, but eventually I gave in and realised I was just plain wrong, and there was no escaping that. So the air is clear, and we're friends again.

    God I feel awful. My flatmate is being really distant and I'm getting messed up worrying that she's withholding some bitter resentment toward me. She's been increasingly anxious over the past week, and has spent today in her room. Any questions or greetings from me are met with stalled, monotone replies, short and placating. I have no idea where I stand, and so I'm getting really worked up. I feel like a 6 year old standing out in front of an audience of 1000 people, but without the sympathy; the 6 year old will get booed off stage at the end.

    Absolutely. In the same vein as shit-eating Rick. People call him "stupid Rick", but he made brownies with alchemy, so I don't think he's really so stupid. Just somehow not as corrupted by the cruelty of the multiverse. He can have his feelings hurt, but somehow remain really kind.

    I'm a bit obsessed with Mr Peanutbutter from BoJack Horseman, because I can relate to him in a lot of ways. I can talk a lot about him, but I realise that I'm essentially just talking about myself. So it occurs to me that, for me, being obsessed with fictional characters or people who I relate to is just me obsessing with myself by proxy.
