I feel really claustrophobic being cast as such a specific archetypal role. Why can't all town members just be the same, and then we can decide our night action abilities organically as the game progresses? It's such an outdated system of categorisation that disallows anybody to develop a self-orientation outside of what has already been decided for us by the system.

Looking at the backer incentives, and 2 people have got the $10,000 prizes already. Wonder who they are; I imagine well-off game devs. I wonder how these things go, all these "dinner with the developers" incentives. I want there to be at least one horror story in there.

I'd say "we didn't commit genocide for this land tho" but that's just a fashionable thing to complain about. That and it was basically the British empire who did it, right?; but because they split off and made the US we're happy to not take responsibility for that over here. Like, we don't, so I don't really know why the current generation of Americans should either.
Christmas basically does everything Thanksgiving does, lol. From what I've been told anyways. It's such a questionable holiday in many ways. have fun spending time with the families you don't really want to spend time with though guys!
But yeah Black Friday has become a thing here somehow. It's gross as heck. Becoming more like America everyday! woooop. Definitely since last year though I've noticed it becoming an actual literal thing, the advertising has been RELENTLESS since. Thank god I don't have to work tomorrow..
I wonder if the unions have caught on to the trend and demanded people get extra pay for Black Friday yet. I feel like it's probably a thing in America to get paid extra for the BF shift, but I can imagine some people haven't taken those measures here yet.

The only part of this that the UK has appropriated is Black Friday. Not sure if we've always done Black Friday, but I've noticed the advertising increase over the past couple years. Can't avoid Black Friday hype this year.
I don't really know how they're related though.

So yeah, Amazon caused Black Friday to migrate to the UK. Kind of surreal that it's suddenly grown into such a big thing. Feel like 2015 will be the year it really caught on though.

I'm good friends with people who are heavily into this stuff. I don't really get it to the extreme they do. Once in our group chat two of them were talking about some study, and one of the two got their facts wrong, to which the other corrected them, in good will. One of the other guys joked "she schooled you!" and both of them jumped on him at once, submitting essay style replies breaking down his comment to display it as latently misogynistic. It was like one of those scenes in a crime drama where the mentally unstable drug lord pulls out a gun and shoots someone without any provocation. It was brutal. And when he tried to rrwason that it wasn't meant in I'll will toward anybody, they broke him down with eye-rolling accusals of 'mansplaining'.
He was just making a joke. Albeit a bit of a daft one; the context not really allowing for a joke like that made it come off as disrespectful, since both of the people talking do courses which rely heavily on their ability to research statistics. Don't treat peeps like that as you would someone posting a baseless political meme on Facebook.
Still though. Brutal.
They would probably flay me if they saw me talking about them like this. I only fear their claws so much because I have so much to hide.
You have to wonder about someone who thinks a college education is something so entitled to them that they can use the word "excited" to describe it. None of us think this is fun. Our society is a sick and twisted mess, and I for one am not "excited" about it. I worked all through senior year at high school to pay for my flight here. I gave up my time and energy for this. I hope you recognise that.
