On my birthday, I hesitantly treated myself to a PS4 and games. I got the Destiny: The Taken King bundle. I've never played Destiny or even seen it. But apparently The Taken King is good for people new to the game. I haven't touched it yet, but I'm sure it's gonna be really cool. The PS4 is white and cool. The main reason I got it was for MGSV, which I've been playing a lot. 
 
Also, Ocelot and Miller sang me happy birthday and gave me a cake for my birthday lol. I had heard about that feature. But I guess I forgot. It was funny and legit surprising because they told me to return to base for an emergency. 

Talk about Pokemon Go.

Here is my post about Pokemon Go. It's not meant to set the tone of the thread. Feel free to talk about whatever, but here is my opinion:
I think people are overhyping it. I think it will be really, really fun. But I think people are expecting too much. People are annoying me when they're like speculating all of these puppying ridiculous features of this FREE PHONE APP. Like, MAYBE ice Pokemon could spawn in lower temperatures probably and whatever. I don't know the extent of the information that a phone's map contains. But no one is going to painstakingly map out individual Pokemon to their specific in-universe locations. I mean it wouldn't be hard to classify large amounts of Pokemon into like "city" or "prairie" categories. But is that fun? Literally 99% of us would be catching shit Pidgeys and Rattatas if that happened. 
Skyler showed me Niantic's Ingress game. Niantic will be co-creating Pokemon Go. It admittedly has a lot of features in it and they're cool. It's more complicated than I thought. But at the same time, if anything, Pokemon Go will probably be a dumbed down version of Ingress. Ingress is kiiiinda confusing. Pokemon Go will surely be easier and kid-friendly. 
 
 
Also, maybe ONE of these was funny ONCE. But dude, these almost make me want to not play Pokemon Go. idk why they piss me off, but puppy.

Lately when I've been visiting the bf we've been playing some Halo: Master Chief Collection. Last night we finished Halo 3, and I gotta say it was really weird going from the super updated and pretty Halo: CE and Halo 2, and then going backwards to Halo 3. Halo 3 looks SO outdated now, and for some reason I also totally forgot that it was released in 2007...made me feel a bit old, lol. 
I'd never played Halo 3 before, and I don't know...I really enjoyed 2's story so much more. And 2 seemed way longer of a game (I'm talking campaign here) than 3 did. I appreciated the more frequent breaks in 3, but still, the whole story seemed so rushed and I was still trying to figure out what was going on during some of the cutscenes. Just seemed clunky, and I missed having the text on the side telling me exactly what weapon I've picked up and how much ammo. I tended to second guess my weapon pickups half of the time. But overall, I'm glad we finished it. MCC includes Halo 4, so that'll be next. 

Bad roommates are always hell while you're living through it but it always does make a good story for later.

Quiet is the literal opposite of her name.
Constantly humming, running past me at blazing speeds, shooting the place up with her loud tranq rounds...gosh. She can be helpful when it all goes to shit, but damn. She usually causes it to go to shit in the first place. At least she has nice boobs.
D.D. on the other hand is so good. Marking anything and everything around me, stunning enemies, doesn't get spotted or alert; he's the best buddy by far. He's such a good boy. SUCH a good boy.

I should be clear that they've made no secret of that ("The Melee-Insipred Fighter!"). There are a lot of little changes that make it play out differently (no shields, no grabbing, can't hold ledge) but I think ultimately the point is to have a game that fits into the smash `genre'

The most apt description of 'life' I can think of is trying to keep a balloon from touching the ground. You don't see the point, but you feel compelled to keep it going.

Oh man, bad roommates. This guy Joe I lived with. I loved everyone else in that house dearly and am still in contact with them, but joe was a piece of shit. He was the kind of guy who seems like a perfectly good, friendly guy once you meet him, but as you get to know him more and more you realize just what utter scum he really is. That guy was a counseling major, and he was only going into counseling so he could meet broken women and fix them up, cause that was what he was into. He would go out and try to break up girls he liked with their boyfriends and get them to date him instead. Like, purposely. Taking advantage of girls who weren't necessarily in bad relationships with their boyfriends but just fighting at the time, and cheating with them, just because they were more open. As my friend Steve put it, "if he were any worse of a person, he'd wear fedoras and post on facebook about how women never go for nice guys like him."
I used to lock the door to our house at night, but Joe scolded me because he hated having to unlock the door to the house he lived in, so I stopped doing that. Then one day we had a party, and since he didn't lock his door, he went into his room afterwards and everything was stolen. That guy deserved it, he was such a dick. Plus he never cleaned the dishes, so fuck that about him too.

I'm gathering that the majority of people have at least one semi-traumatic roommate situation in their life. Mine was sophomore year of college, when lived with a guy who had the craziest mood swings I've ever seen. He broke my door once out of anger!
 
My wife is definitely the best person I've lived with. All my roommates were terrible by comparison! But I guess that's as expected. 

This is it. All I am. I don't know my dream, but from this day forth, I wield my sword for no other man. I will seek. And sparks will light my path.

I think my life goal is self improvement. I'm not saying that I'm 100% proactive or that I'm not often lazy. But I feel immense guilt when I feel like I'm stagnating. Even if I go very slowly, I like to be moving towards something. 
If I am moving especially slow towards a goal, in my opinion it means that I'm serious about it. I like to think that I have a large scope when accomplishing goals. At the same time, it's very slow and I get bummed out. 
I don't know what the end goal is. I'll probably be really boring at the end of it, if there is an end 
 
Sparks-- the light borne in the clash when two swords meet. They serve me as well.
Throughout my life, the moments and people that have defined me-- they have all been illuminated by sparks.
