  1. "Well, I'll try to make my bridges shine brighter so they look solid, will that work?" Zerahnor asked. "And let's go before we keep the others."

  2. Zerahnor was the last to cross, terminating the bridge of light behind him. "Well, I'm sure things will get more interesting from here on out, so be own your guard. Now down into the Temple! Well, at least you guys go. I'll follow in a sec. Eon, come over here for a sec." Zerahnor pulled Eon aside and allowed the others to go first. "Are you gonna be OK? It seems you've had an unpleasant experience with lava."

  3. "Ladies first," Zerahnor repeated, chuckling at Eon as he backed away from the bridge, allowing Aluna, Kyaa, and Kerri and their familiars to pass him if they wished.

  4. ((Sorry, would've posted this plot movement FOREVER ago if it hadn't been for my fever, but now I'm back! XD

And Aluna, this is my bad, I didn't see the RP having a problem with this, but could please specify how many you kill in the future? Kthnxbai. *goes to reiterate how to battle in the first post XD*))

Giving up for the time being, the remaining skeletons escaped back into the Temple of Fire. Zerahnor was rubbing his neck like he was making sure it was still there.

"Well, that was certainly entertaining, wasn't it?" he asked, a hint of facetiousness in his voice. "I wouldn't doubt whatever our problem is, it's in that temple."

  5. well, long story short, we were force dto draw cards to determine the subject of our Taking a Stand essays in College Prep English. The card I drew was an 8 of Hearts, whic is associated with the topic "How HPV vaccinations are BAD." How the hell do I do that?! I'm at a loss. XP Suggestions are welcome (Dropping out of the class DOESN'T COUNT - I'M PAYING 219 DOLLARS FOR THIS DUAL-CREDIT CRAP.)

  6. "In that case..." Eon said, shifting his focus from creating another tetris block to something else entirely. Snaps and pops began to ring throughout the cavern. Some of the archers looked down to their bows, just in time to catch the full force of their bows turning into a poof of dust. "Okay, 8 disarmed, 10 to go."

((I mean, just like some general guidelines, like the whole 'specify number of enemies killed'. Also, Earth element seems... rather powerful in the way I use it. Tone it down a little? Or is using my intuition to extort the system okay?))

((Oh, that's what you meant. Yeah, I'll look over my first post and try to clarify better.

and you're basically a god here - you've got tons of rock and earth to use at your command, and using your head to extort the system is completely OK. XD That's probably why it seems so powerful. Disarming the skeletons might have a different effect than just forcing them into melee combat, but experimenting with what you can do is always good. you learn how to use your powers better. X3))

The 8 disarmed archers ran back down into the well that led into the Temple of Fire. The remaining 10 archers continued their volley of stone arrows.

Zerahnor used the skeleton standing on him as a shield from the arrow volleys, and it turned to dust, which he brushed off once he stood up. "Geez, these things just don't let up, do they?!" ((I'm gonna start hanging back, I wanna leave some for Aluna and Kyaa.))

  7. ((Perhaps a revision to way battles work is in order. I though I had it down, but I guess I was wrong. XD Or maybe it would still work, just with less enemies.))

The skeleton couldn't dodge Brett's grasp, and it turned to dust in his hand as the healnig light made its bones so brittle they shattered.

"Yes you can!" Zerahnor called out to Eon as he saw a skeleton rush up to attack Demeir and Kerri. He was about to blast it when she thrust her trident backwards and cracked it in half, turning in to dust. He saw another skeleton rushing at him, and he shot several blasts of light at it. It dodged them, kicked Zerahnor down and pointed its sword at his throat. "Leave this place! There is nothing worth your life to find here!" it chattered.

All the remaining archers banded together to form a large volleys of arrows that would hit the entire group if they didn't take evasive action.

  8. Two of the skeletons met an untimely end as the blade of light seared through their legs, incapacitating them. They turned to dust as the third flipped through the air over Brett and landed behind him, spinning around to attempt to hit him with a side slash.

Meanwhile, Zerahnor blasted away one of the skeletons that was aiming an arrow volley at him, and rolled to the side to dodge the arrow as the skelton turned to dust.

((in the future, CO, please specify exactly how many you killed when you use spells like that. X3 This time, I just used and RNG and got the number 3.))

  9. ((Oops, my bad. I forgot to say what the enemies did. ^.=.^; whoops. combat goes just like training, except I control the enemies. Obviously g-modding isn't allowed, but I don't think we'll have that problem.)) Three skeletons raised their blades and charged at Brett, ready to attack once they closed in. Two more skeletons sent a volley of arrows in Aluna's direction while a third shot a single arrow at Adn. Another two skeletons pincer attacked Eon, striking at him from both sides with their stone blades.

  10. Zerahnor shrugged; there was only one answer to that question. "I guess our only option is to go in. My extra magick that I have from the Dreamworld can protect us and Kyaa's summons from the intense heat..." Zerahnor paused. "But try not to fall into the lava. I'd hate to have to force Brett to over-exert himself trying to piece you back together from molten bits," Zerahnor replied with an exasperated sigh, as if it's happened before. "But enough of that, let's go inside and find these skeletons!" Zerahnor led the way into the crater, and arrived on a quite a large ledge looking over the entrance to the Temple of Fire with a river of lava between the bottom of the ledge and the circular platform of rock connected to a well that led down into the temple itself. "Hmm... nothing seems out of the ordinary..." He looked around, seeing nothing. The ground rumbled, and hordes of skeletons armed with bows and blades of stone emerged from the entrance of the Temple of Fire. They clacked their jaws in the group's direction, and some of them even tried to jump over to the cliff face in an attempt to climb up. The skeletons were met with instant demise as they fell into the lava.

"Well, we know we can't jump across, and even if we do, we'd be skellie bait. There has to be a way over without totally exposing ourselves... Ah! I got it!" Zerahnor formed a bridge of light from the ledge to the rock platform. He didn't even take into account the skeletons would take the iniative to cross it, and they swarmed over to the large platform the group stood on. "Crap. I didn't think about that. Get ready for some action, guys!"

Act 1 Battle 1 - A Crater Infestation (Death Mountain Crater)

Fire and earth attacks increase in power, and can be fed from the world around you - also, characters who tire themselves out and control these elements may draw upon them to restore their

    energy.

    Enemies~~~

20 Skeletons (Armed with stone longwords - may be picked up a wielded, but crumble once they leave Death Mountain's vicinity ~~ Drop 1 crystal when defeated)

20 Skeletons (Armed with stone bows and 20 stone arrows - may be picked up a wielded, but crumble once they leave Death Mountain's vicinity ~~ drop 1 crystal when defeated)

Skeletons are, pretty obviously, re-assembled bones of the dead, animated, and given a basic task which he fill out mindlessly, kinda like zombies, but without all the icky blood and gore.

However, while your eyes are saved from a grusome sight, their lack of flesh is also their greatest strength - they're very resistant to sharp weaponry, as their bones have been hardened due

to petrification from the pressure they suffered from being buring for so long - blunt weapons that can crack their bones work much more effectively, as does magic, which overrides this

physical dfense entirely. They are obviously very weak to healing magic, as it scathes them, causing their bones to become very brittle and if pelted with enough healing energy, they

    may just shatter.

  11. "Well, I thought I'd fixed it, so I didn't bother mentioning it," Zerahnor replied with a laugh, unsteadily standing up on his feet.

  12. "Well Eon, it's a little bit of both. The teleporting itself is magick, but this machine is completely electronic - it just tells the teleporter where to send us." Zerahnor pressed a fingertip on the green square on Death Mountain on the world map screen, and the teleporter revved with light. The red button flashed for a few more seconds before turning a solid unflashing green. "That worked quickly. Alright, everybody on!" Zerahnor called out. "Wait, everybody's already on, nevermind." Zerahnor shook his head, sighing. "Well, anyway, let's get this show on the road!!" With that, Zerahnor walked over onto the teleporter, made a fist and slammed it into the green button. Yellow light enveloped everyone, and they were thrown through a tube of glass that seemed to trave through star-lit space. They were sent through a wall of more yellow light, and were suddenly on their feet at the base of the entrance to Death Mountain's crater. Zerahnor stumbled, trying to hold his balance, but ending up falling down on his rear anyway. "It seems I still have to perfect that little quirk," Zerahnor pointed out, sounding a bit dizzy.

  13. ((Who said I wasn't, Umbreon? XDDDD))

"Well, I was planning to change it so it looked less Star Trek-y, but I guess everyone like it this way so I changed my mind," Zerahnor laughed. "It works just like every other teleporter machine. We select a destination over here on this screen, then you press that big red button when it turns green." Zerahnor pointed to the button that was flashing red.

  14. ((So jokes! spam attack! But cereally Fuzzmaster, please cut it out. I'm asking nicely :U))

"Whatcha lookin' for, Brett? I could tell you where to find it," Zerahnor replied. "Unless you're looking for the exit, then I've got a better idea. Follow me to the teleporter room." Zerahnor led everyone who wished to go exploring to the teleportation room. It almost looked like rip-off of Star Trek or something. The room was pretty large, large enough to easily accomodate 100 people complete with elbow room. At the far end of the room, the floor was rasied and plated with stell - it was obviously the teleporter pad. On the wall nearby was a large circular button. It was flashing red as if to indicate "DO NOT PRESS!" On the left, by the teleporter pad, was a mini-screen of the outside world with a glowing green box over every major area - Death Mountain, Lake Hylia, Kakariko Village, you name it. "So? Whaddaya think? this is how we'll be getting around so we can save our energy for when it really counts."

  15. "I think we are Brett- Oh, what these enchanted with light power, I presume?" Zerhanor asked Eon as he handed the stone blades to him.

  16. ((No no no. it goes like this:

    HAI GUISE!!!!!

    Get it right. :U

XD Well, glad to have ya back.))

"Well, bow wise, I could try something..." Zerahnor picked up a fork and bent it into a curve. Light extended from both ends, creating a bow similar to a calssic archery bow, complete with a string of light. "Here ya go! We can stop by the Forge and get some arrows for you on the way out. And as for the shortsword..." his voice trailed off as he found another knife and used his light powers to turn it into a short blade of yellow light. It was too long to be a dagger, but not long enoguh to be considered a full-blown sword. He handed both weapons to Aluna.

  17. Zerahnor nodded and the saber flattened out into a blade of light, complete with a belt hand guard that vaguely mimicked the Master Sword. "Here ya go, Breet," Zerahnor added, handing him the sword.

  18. Zerahnor laughed as he gave the trident to Kerri and thne accepted the knife from Brett. He used his light control to turn it into a lightsaber with the knife itself as the handle. "What? I just had to," Zerahnor replied with a huge grin. "Besides, who doesn't like Star Wars? But seriously, I can change it if you want."

  19. "I think it might be a bit of both," Zerahnor said, laughing sheepishly. "And I guess I could it again." Zerahnor picked up a spoon this time, and made it into a large shovel of yellow light. "Hahahahh! This is fun!!" Zerahnor exclaimed, clearly enjoying turning random eating utensils into various objects that could be used for weapons.

  20. "Sorry, Eon," Zerahnor laughed, "that electricity is magickal; it copies its target's genetic code for my cloning machine which then uses it to create a copy of the creature. It's be like smacking them with a basball bat." Zerahnor stopped, thinking for a second... "I do think I have a solution, however..." Zerahnor turned to the table and picked up a fork. He concentrated hard, and eventually it began to glow with yellowish light. The light extended out the back to make a longer handle, while the light split into four prongs where prongs of the fork separated, basically making the fork a 4-foot-long trident. "Ah, it worked! Anyone wanna be Poseidon for a day?" Zerahnor joked, holding out the trident for any who wished to take it.

  21. Zerahnor nodded to Brett to answer his question positively. He looked aver at Adn and Kyaa and noticed Kyaa shrugging at Adn, but thought nothing of it. He nodded towards them to let them know they had been acknowledged.

"Anybody else feel like coming along?" he asked once more.

  22. "Ack!" Zerahnor yelped as he ducked under Demeir. "Whoops, perhaps I shuold've paid attention to where the bacon was," Zerahnor sighed. He heard Brett's comment about training, and immediately forgot about Demeir.

"Actually, Brett, I was going to lead an expedition team into the mountains to eradicate some skeletons that ahd recently appeared. If you think you're up to it, you join me instead of training," Zerahnor suggested. "And anyone else who'd like to tag along, please do. Skeletons are nice for learning the 'Dos and Don'ts' of the combat that'll most likely be ahead of us."

  23. "Sorry, I just had to," Zerahnor replied to Aluna, "it got too quiet." Zerhanor laughed. "Come here, Lyall! That was such a great catch I think I you deserve some bacon!" Zerahnor yoinked some bacon off a plate nearby, not paying attention to whose it was, and held it out towards Lyall.

  24. ((Pinned?! o.=.O Sweet, I feel so accomplished now - thanks Teto. XDDDDDD))

Zerahnor felt like playing around because the conversation suddenly ended, so he took a donut from the box and threw it over Lyall's head, shouting, "Catch!"
