  1. He's not a troll, Flannery.

Though he wants you to think he is, to make you feel gullible.

    That's just who he is.

Ahah. Gotcha. Wouldn't have known (just joined yesterday).

  2. I don't think Link's father is any character seen or mentioned in any games thus far. The amount of information on him is so bare, it doesn't even seem fair to speculate yet.

As for the poe collector theory... When you first meet him, he says something along the lines of "if I were as handsome as you, I could run a different kind of business" and then cackles creepily. Doesn't seem like something father would say to son.

  3. Zelda: The Deku Tree never told you what happened to your sister...

Link: He told me enough, he told me you killed her!

Zelda: No Link, I am your sister.

Link: That's not true! That's impossible!

Zelda: Search your feelings, you know it to be BS.

Although I agree with you, I must say this.

Thereare multiple Link's and Zelda's. You can't use one game's details toprove or disprove something in another unless you can prove that theyare connected. In this case, I don't think they are.

Absolutely. Which is why I mentioned two games. I could name more, but those were the main ones I got my reasoning from, so those were the only listed.

  4. I enjoy the fact that we can't hear or see what Link is saying or thinking. It adds a little extra charm to the Zelda series, as well as some mysteries.

  5. My first kiss was with my previous boyfriend when I was 16. It was just a "normal" kiss. It happened while I was at his house and I was about to leave. At the time I wasn't dating him and we were just friends. He was flirting with me all night and before I left he made the comment "I really would like to kiss you, but you wouldn't want to waste your first one on me." I told him I wouldn't mind and he kissed me.

  6. Link talks, he's not mute in any form. Though his speech isn't literally shown or heard, it's implied through in-game text.

  7. I pray the Zelda series is never made into a film. I don't think the Zelda storyline would be easily transitioned to the silver screen. Also, if it were specifically an American film, who knows how Hollywood producers may ol' chapize the story and characters. Then of course if the wrong actors are cast for the roles, that can destroy the entire thing. Besides, I'm all for Link being a "silent hero" so I wouldn't want to hear him talking in a movie.

  8. Nayru is likely the mysterious "Goddess Of Time" mentioned in MM. She is associated with law, order, structure, etc. Therefore another element of hers could be time.

If there was indeed a 4th goddess and Triforce piece, don't you think it would have been mentioned by now? There are already over 10 games.

The TRIforce is a 3-dimensional object containing three separate pieces. Hence "tri" in the name, which means three.

Please lock this 4th goddess/piece theory in the fanfic box and swallow the key.

  9. At first I thought Stallord was Volvagia, due to the appearance of a dragon and the similar battle music. But then I thought about it and I don't think so now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure Volvagia was female. Therefore the name StalLORD makes little sense.

Volvagia was slain in Fire Temple, which is in Death Mountain. So how did the corpse end up in the desert?

The skeletons proportions are way too large. Volvagia's skull was roughly half of Link's adult size.

The other answers don't make too much sense either. I'm thinking Stallord is just an entire new monster, rather than being the undead version of a previous monster. Nintendo and Miyamoto love to mess with us, so perhaps they stuck in the similar music for that purpose.

  10. Apologies ahead of time if there is already a topic about this, but I failed to find an active one.

For years there has been the theory that Link and Zelda are in fact brother and sister. A big part of the controversy stems from a quote in Link To The Past:

    "Zelda is your..."

It is thought the unfinished sentence was refering to them being siblings.

Others also believe there is a familial relationship between the two because of them having the same hair and eye colors.

I personally don't believe this theory is true. My reasoning:

    1) The 2002 release of Link To The Past reworded the previously mentioned quote to "It is your destiny to save Zelda." It was not meant to say anything about her being Link's sister.

    2) In Ocarina Of Time, we learn that Link's mother fled during wartime, taking baby Link with her. If Link and Zelda were indeed siblings, and their mother the queen, her fleeing to the forest makes no sense. What sense does it make for a queen to flee into the middle of Hyrule Field during a battle? Also, why did she take only Link? What about Zelda?

    3) It's no argument to say they have the same hair and eye colors. There are plenty of people in the world with the same hair and eye color, yet they are not related.

    Thoughts? Constructive discussion please.

  11. Sheik is female. Zelda = Sheik. Therefore Sheik is a female, disguised as male. Yes, Sheik appears to have no breasts, different eye color, etc. However, Zelda is a powerful sorceress. She could use these powers to disguise herself. But all the magic in the world isn't going to change her DNA.
