[New Pokemon game names released]

Hm... Are the male and female player characters sharing the same style, or at least hair color (down to the shade) and hat? I can't tell too well because the two side sprites are the same and the two front sprites (which would hide the ponytail if there was one) are the same, and I can't figure out the bridge picture at all. But it looks like one has a long-sleeved blue shirt and the other short-sleeved black. And I think the hats are turned in different ways. Interesting choice, if I'm right and they stick with that, although it's too early to judge until art gets released. If I'm not right, there might be some kind of neat explanation to it, anyway.

Female Player reminds me of HGSS's Lyra a lot, for some reason. Again, waiting until art's released before I can have any real opinion on their art. So far she actually kinda looks like how I'd look as a player character so the selfish and childish side of me likes her already

It'd be neat to see just a couple new Eeveelutions, but I think one big problem would be making them interesting in looks and useful in battle. Pure Flying would be kind of funny to play with, although they'd have to program something in the chance that someone hacks Roost onto it (or if it learned it naturally).

[Fan Fiction Talk & Discussion]

Hey, I have a question. Is anyone here interested in betaing (helping proofread a rough draft of a story) for me, please? I have an Oracle of Ages fic that I need work with, centering mostly on Ralph, the consequences of his actions, and his issues with relationships. Kind of a Drama/Romance/Possible Tragedy (depending on the ending I pick)/General mix. I'm having issues ending it, and I think I might have messed up the fic timeline a bit.

Small warnings and such:

--The story is somewhere between PG and PG-13. I'll be rating it the latter to be safe. Some mild curse words are thrown around, and there's implications of sexual situations, suicide, and general bad parenting (aside from bad parenting, nothing is explicitly described and the first one is only mentioned in passing and not an actual scene). Warnings will be properly put on the final product when I post.

--Spoilerrific for OoA. It makes a divergence from the end of the game (the scene that changed is the scene at the top of the Black Tower; let's just say she did not show him mercy in this story).

--I mixed in some elements of MM into this, with appearances from characters from it and associating OoA characters with Termina or the Goddess of Time.

--Unfounded theories. Most of them have no evidence to support them and are just there to look cool. In no way will I insist they're canon, but they're fun to think about.

--I don't really have an ending. I don't know if I should go for a happy one, a sad one, or stick with the ambiguous thing I have right now.

So, um, yeah. I think I could just send the story over PM, right? If anyone is willing to help out, I'd be really thankful.

EDIT: Okay, I'm dumb. I don't think this board has a PM system, does it? I'm too used to other kinds of boards. I...suppose e-mailing works fine? I dunno, I'm not too picky on how I get stories beta'd (I've done it though e-mail and through ff.net's file transferring).

[New Pokemon game names released]

My only gripe is that, because they're both neutral colors, I don't know which version I'd pick (I try to pick the closest I can to blue). I guess I'll just have to wait to see the Pokemon each version has, since it won't really matter if I don't get the color I want, anyway.

I'm really curious as to what they'll end up doing for new Pokemon, especially legendaries (I'm still wondering how Arceus can be topped -- possibly by exploring life and death and such).

Some kind of mix between Blue and Barry as a rival would be hilariously awesome.

[What game do/did your parents play?]

My dad's the one who got me into video games. He had some for an old computer (I remember one isometric RPG-type, but I only remember the sprites of it and not its name or anything), and he mentioned playing loads of games before I was born, but it was mainly the SNES that I first remember. He moved on to N64 and got me a GBC, and then we'd end up with a PS1, GCN, GBA, and PS2 before he started to lose interest in games. He'd play a lot of things from Mario to Zelda to Pokemon to Dragon Warrior to Resident Evil. I also remember him playing several online poker games, but I'm prettysure he's stopped that, too, even though some of them are stillinstalled on the computer. He stopped playing games so much around the time I was leaving middle school, but he's taken up World of Warcraft for the past couple of years (I like to watch him play, but I don't have the patience for actually playing it myself, unfortunately).

I'm imagining the changes that'd happen now. Preppy Ganondorf is a very scary thought.

Link and the Master Sword is a close second. They're often together in the games, after all.

Hi, I'm A-chana. I've been playing Zelda games on and off since ALttP was around, and although I've been in the off phase for a long time, I've been thinking of getting back into the games. As for other stuff about me, I'm close to high school graduation, I like doing artsy stuff, and I'm hoping to be a concept artist for video games (or anything along those lines, really).

I got back into the LoZ series after looking at some fanfiction and finding some really nice gems. I've recently done some art and stories, although it's not much. I'm hoping to finish what I've already done so far. Right now, I'm letting a friend borrow one of my games (she's never played the games before, aside from recently getting WW), and she'll let me borrow hers later.

I, uh, think I've already made a forum mistake. I didn't realize voting bumps topics. Oops. On the plus side, the poll in question was only on the second page, so... Yeah, sorry, though, I haven't seen a board system that works that way.
