Well, the DSi comes out in North America today. For those who bought it, are you satisfied?

Claire got his yesterday and, apparently, it's the greatest thing ever.

I want one but I'm not all that bothered. I don't have a DS at all. I'm not really sure how much the DSi does that I would use.

I want it. I'm going to get it when I have money. I have to save a lot of money.

My old DS DS is still working just fine... Why get one without reverse compatibility?

Camera?

Photo editing?

DSiWare?

Sound recording?

Sound editing?

Wider screen?

Brighter screen?

Internet browsing?

Nah, you're right, it's shit.

Those are all pretty cool. All the reasons, except WiiWare, are just pointless though. It can either be done on a PC or is just not all that brilliant.

I think I might actually save the extra bit and get a DSi instead actually. :)

No reverse compatibility? Explain.

Basically, with the size downgrade, Nintendo had to remove the GBA slot. It's not that big of a deal for me, but I've never had a DS before, so...

Hm. If only the downloading GB, and GBA was real. I still have a DS so it's no skin off my bones.

Downloading old GB games is probably an inevitability. :|

It has a point system just like the Wii and a microSD slot.

Of course it will let you download GB games at some point.

I'm going to get one, probably. When I get enough money, of course. I have to save up $200 for camp though. -_________- On the bright side, the camp will be awesome. It's a "High Adventure" camp at the Tetons. White-water stuff, handgun shooting, stuff like that. :') Plus, my friend might give me his old DS, (He has 3 already, and is getting a DSi...!) so I could still play some DS games while I save for camp, and then I could sell it. :'/

Actually, it's a regular-sized SD card slot. Also, since the DS has a better game library than the Wii, it stands to reason that DSiware will have a better library than Wiiware.

I am also anticipating increased homebrew for it.

Battling between DSi or Parts for new computer. Although I've been working 7.5 hours every day over spring break so I'm expecting a big bank run. So I might be able to afford both. :)
