Free 3d modeling program

In case any of you are at all interested, I found a pretty nice 3d modelling program by Autodesk, the same people who make Maya (which is the 3d modeling tool used by a lot of the professional game development studios). You're not allowed to use it commercially (i.e. make money from it), but other than that there are no restrictions, so some of you might want to check it out:

That looks interesting, but I would recommend Blender, which is GNU public license open-source software and has no restrictions whatsoever. I've heard lots of good things about it, and I plan on downloading it myself soon.

Coolio. I already have Lightwave, though.

Blender seems to hate me whenever I use it.

That being said, so did GIMP the first two times I tried it...
