Before I vote, what are her tastes? Does she enjoy sweet? spicy? And does she care about texture?

Ever since she quit smoking she has absolutely loved spicy, and sweet as well. Not sure about texture though.

Is this going to be the main dish or a side dish? And will there be a salad or soup?

(Believe it or not, I am going somewhere with this :embarrassed: )

Main dish and yes a tossed salad (insert joke here). Also I was thinking either Italian or French bread.

The coconut crusted shrimp would be an absolute delight, but if you are planning a dessert than I would choose the shrimp creole.

In Australia they are but in the good ole USA, they're Shrimp.

And Zuzu was right, it is "A-la".

I made Creole Shrimp that turned out amazing. Definitely adding it to my recipe folder for use at a later date. Unfortunately the reason she came over was to tell me she and my dad are getting divorced. I'd like to lie and say I was suprised but the writing was on the wall long ago.

Yay I'm glad you went with my advice :joy:

And I'm sorry about the divorce, that really sucks!
