NOT WRITTEN BY ME, WRITTEN BY THE_ICE_PHOENIX FROM GAMEFAQS.

Section A: The promotional image

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4823/zeldaa.jpg

So far, this is the only concrete media he have on this game.

---

Section B: Information from interviews and other reports

Thissection employs a number key for each piece of information. To seewhere each one came from, refer to the list of sources in section E.

Development

01 - Has been in development from late 2005 or early 2006

02 - Done by Nintendo's internal "Wii Zelda team"

08 - Still in the experimental phase

09 - Aiming for a 2010 release

Gameplay mechanics

02 - Likely to include "big new ideas"

02 - Unlikely to be in first-person perspective

03 - Will include archery and swordplay similar to that of Wii Sports Resort

03 - Will try "to make everybody happy"

04 - Will definitely use Wii MotionPlus accessory; may require it

05 - Will try to appeal to a broad audience to the exclusion of "skew[ing] towards an older or more focussed audience"

05 - Trying to keep the difficulty levels reasonable (reasonably low)

Storyline

03 - Link is "more mature than ever"

05 - Set in "a completely different era" to other Zelda games

05 - There's something important in the fact that Link isn't holding a sword in the picture above

05 - Completely different story progression to Twilight Princess

07 - Completely new Link (implied)

Graphics

06 - Likely to feature amped-up graphics from Twilight Princess

Odds-and-ends

07 - Will likely not listen to fan requests about game's content

Section C: Theories and Speculation

It is widely-held now that the smaller figure in the picture is some manefestation of the master sword (source 10).

Manybelieve that Nintendo's new "Kind Code" (source 11) system may be usedto aid in making this game more accessible to new gamers. The appendixto this guide has more information on this.

Appendix: The "Kind Code" system

Fromthe patent document, it appears the system will work like this: Eitherwhile you are playing or from a home menu, you can view a video ofsomeone else playing the game (with all the appropriate power-ups forthat part of the game). This will be used to give hints (or, rather, walkthroughs) of what to do for a particular section of the game.

Ontop of this, the patent implies that a player can then, while the videois playing, take back control and keep playing. Furthermore, it seemsthat the player will be able to skip to different parts of the gamewhile in video playback ("Digest") mode and watch (or play) thoseparts. However, while in "Digest mode", you would not be able to saveyour game, meaning that you would still have to complete the challengesyourself to progress properly.

All this is just what can beinferred from the patent document. We don't know for which games thepatented method would be used (if any), nor which parts of the mechanic may be included or excluded.

I have a feeling I'll like this new game a lot. I enjoyed TP's graphics, and I think it's about time Link matured a bit, too. Though, he doesn't look that much older than TP Link who was supposedly only seventeen years. I'm kind of hoping they move this into the beginning of the industrial age and use trains and stuff. That would be exciting, even if his garb doesn't suggest they'd be traveling that far in time.

Nintendo have some plans to make a new zelda game for wii but they say that after spirits tracks they will MAKE A NEW ZELDA GAME FOR THE WII but first they are talking about storyline and stuff like that and its being talk about a sequel lets hope for a better zelda sequel than MM and dont re-use the characters but it would be nice if you can go to the TP hyrule world and a new world with new characters and stuff and keeping the original TP soundtracks if they will put hyrule (just for fun in the game) and a new world.

Hopefully, this one may solve the "Zelda Timeline Mystery" that we all debate on.
