Also the grimer one made me laugh as soon as I saw it. Also I'm really trying hard to avoid posting the groups of things I have under one artist or another because I reblog a lot of 3-8 photo galleries of artists on tumblr, so most of this is just one shot stuff but. (read the manga, saw the movie, all very nice :>) im noticing quirks from the movie (like the cookies) but also some death situations from the manga, if im not mistaken. been a while since i read it, though, so. the grimer is slick, too :3 Teto I liked that Battle Royale print too. Whats the source thing that the poster is doing a thing of I guess I'm asking. battle royale. its what i think of when you said before how berserks sex isnt really pornographic, its required for the story. sex an manipulation can be weapons too, just lookit those two dudes on the right, naked and bleeding. and if you like BR, then you should read bloody junkie (BR if 2chan talked to them via headphones the whole time), and dansai bunri no crime edge, while a bit different in the setting/situation, still has a free-for-all attitude and fighting. Posted 12 Feb 2013 Pheo the source of the BR pic is Byran Lee O'Mally, the Scott Pilgrim artist. It was made for a showing of the movie at a theater i n Texas (think it was Texas). Its not a very good movie. It's a great japanese movie but by everyone else's standards it's really terrible. it feels like an older movie (p sure it is) made in 2000. so by now, it feels old as puppy. even has this grainy ocean waves opening. on the other hand, it doesnt need CG, but some of the deaths are just....so...... "im delivering my final words...and talking pretty well for someone.....mortally wounded. by the way, i love--" *head falls limp overdramatically* something ive seen pop up in japanese things, as if theyre going "IN CASE YOU COULDNT TELL, THIS PERSON JUST DIED" as far as the material goes, they cut out some stuff (expectedly) that is basically flashbacks and character development, and were forced to censor one of my favorite characters (they use sex and manipulation as weapons. lots of sex.) in that they dont get a lot of screentime, and wind up being one of the blur of other characters that are kainda hard to tell apart due to similar hair styles and clothing. the movie covers a lot of the key parts, though, like (weak spoils, im not spilling deaths here or anything, just vague phrases for things) the cliff couple, kamiyama, the pair of girls with the megaphone, kamiyama, the terrorist attack, kamiyama, gps, and the lighthouse group however, they completely skipped three of my favorite things (subject to my bad memory and still not that spoilery) duct tape razorblade sex/naked flower fountain the minivan but pheo, go read the manga. right now, if you arent already. its made of everything good in the world. The are incredibly low budget, and although this was one of their "better" movies, it was still a piece of shit by Western standards. And the characters blur together because they are all Asians. Not being racist but if it were a bunch of white people or another single race wearing the same clothes with similar hairstyles, we (as a western audience) would be able to tell them apart fairly easy. Not being racist but if it were a bunch of white people or another single race wearing the same clothes with similar hairstyles, we (as a western audience) would be able to tell them apart fairly easy. So if you want original source material dont read the manga. its not actually racist, its a statistical fact that someones ability to ID someone of another race in a lineup is significantly worse than if they were trying to ID someone of their own race. and the fact that about half the time youre reading subtitles and not looking at the characters doesnt help, either. it was based on a novel, which i found years after reading the manga. so yeah, i have the novel, no, i havent had much time to sit down and read it, but what i have read was dead-on in the manga. and most of the time, the novels arent brought over, so all we get is the anime or manga (like DRRR!, korezon, or MM!)
