The Increasing Darkness

Jake had made it, he had braved the horrors of his school and found Rachel. The exit was in sight and with it, sweet sunny salvation.

Jake and Rachel made their way outside into the light just as the sun was setting. Looking at the school Jake watched in horror as the monsterous Darkness began to pour away from the building, spreading like a cancer to the surrounding area.

"RUN!" Jake shouted to Rachel

Jake and Rachel made their way to the nearby Fayville Mall, which was clearing out for closing.

"Get inside!" Jake shouted, both to Rachel and the other patrons.

Jake turned and watched as the Darkness enveloped some shoppers, turning them like the school employees before them into grotesque visions of fear and death.

Jake closed the doors as the darkness made it's way around the building. The lights quickly dimmed and shut off, luckly the battery powered floor lights kicked on bathing the area in soft white glow.
