X means you didn't participate in a game. The color of the letter represents your alignment in the game. (e.g. W is a town win) If you have a letter in subscript or superscript, that means you subbed out or subbed into a game, respectively. Each substitution point is worth half of its letter. (e.g. XL means you subbed out of a game, and the game ended with a town loss, so this is worth half a loss) G means you GMed a game. Each G is worth half a win. M means you were modkilled. This counts as L, but L is higher than M in the event of tied scores. Other Info Only the 10 most recent games are counted in the rankings. When a game finishes, it replaces the oldest game on the scoreboard. Every 10th game will be a Rank game. The players with the highest scores are automatically entered into the Rank game. If a player needs a replacement in a Rank game, the player with the next highest score will take their place. Before a Rank game starts, the players vote on a Wildcard player to join the game. Posted 21 Feb 2010 Why don't you rank how well people ran games too? Also, with rank games, since some people simply wont be able to join, would it be possible to run two games at once?
Posted 21 Feb 2010 yeah, there should be player's choice awards, and voting on MVP's and stuff.
Posted 21 Feb 2010 I think there should be a Gamemaster Choice Award, where the Gamemaster decides which player played the best game, and a Player's choice award, where the players vote on who played the best.
Posted 21 Feb 2010 thats actually a really good Idea. NABESHIN ARE YOU LISTENING?
Posted 21 Feb 2010 We can certainly do awards and the like, but I don't know if that should necessarily interfere with rankings.
Posted 21 Feb 2010 It wouldn't interfere with rankings. They'd just be awards and stuff. Like, there would be the stats and stuff, and then by the names of the recipients it would say "player's choice for evil werewolf" and "Game Master's choice Dream Werewolf" and stuff. Rankings wouldn't be affected.
Posted 22 Feb 2010 Two questions: What is the exact formula for determining scores? I ask this out of simple mathematical curiosity. What happens if somebody who is in the top ten is picked to GM the rank game?
Posted 22 Feb 2010 There isn't a whole lot of math to it - most wins and least losses has highest rank, with priority given to those who have played more games (so 2 wins and 2 losses is higher than 1 win and 1 loss). If there's a tie, I look at how many days a player has survived total. If the top ten plays a Rank game, and someone in top ten GMs, then the 11th ranked player will take their play spot. Posted 22 Feb 2010 It's just a game with all the "best" players in a particular 10 game session. The themes and roles will be wackier and it's largely just for the entertainment of everyone involved.
Posted 27 Mar 2010 Update: Hyrule Werewolf II added to rankings.
Posted 28 Mar 2010 Like it says in the Upcoming Games thread, Saha. Unless that's changed.
