In a text, it makes sense. You need to get information into a very limited space. But in chat, or Bebo or MySpace, or anything like that you have more than enough space to write an intelligible comment. It makes no sense!

I once wrote an article about it. It treated that kind of syntax as a seperate language; n00b, or l33t. Depending on how you look at it. I think I might try to write it again. I'll post it here when I do.

Anyway, I find it a sign of idiocy, and most people with forum accounts don't really do it in the chat. I also hate people that use capitals all the time, ::cough::Therealzelda::cough::

Whats worse is when they keep it on after they've been told about it.

On a related note, people that insult the mods and stuff, its just idiotic. And people who insult people like me and Vent who are good friends with the mods, thats equally stupid.
