Hyrule Game Idea

Here's something I whipped up real quick: a desert area. Maybe for The Wild West?
Anyway, I just made a real basic main desert tile and then made some desert plant life. Maybe with a few more objects, and a better horizon it could be real pretty. The pink is placeholder for background/sky.
Style is cartoony and simple.

I think the sprites should idle loop and be based loosely off the ones from sonic battle for the GBA.

Sonic Battle's sprites look like they could be in a regular side scrolling sonic game though. They only face left and right, even when moving up and down.

Scary is fine. But not hairy.
Also, your new sprite looks a bit Lego blockish. Not a fan of the arm. D;

I like the blandness of Saha's main character sprite because of how, well I can't think of the word, but it's so simple.

Yeah, I'm not sure... I'd like it to be more cartoony than what I made, but I dunno what to do. I'll play with it.

@ doc: I know sonic battle's sprites do that. Thats the reason it would fit so well here, because this idea is a sidescroller. I'm suggesting something along the lines of sonic battle/metal slug.

That's interesting from a spriting perspective, but if we want the game to look decent, the sprites should be bigger. Small and detailed sprites just look like garbage in motion. If we are all going to contribute, the first thing we should do is pick a style to stick to. Saha's is probably closer to what we should aim for at the moment.

I'm one of the few furries who actually doesn't have a fursona.

Believe it or not, but the Furaffinity Forums are the only place I don't use an animal/furry as my avatar.

I'm very tame compared with most furries. So if you think I'm bad; it's worse.
