maybe it was a special poe that grants Link to change automatically from wolf to human once. Too bad he already got the

This was what I did,

Fisrt, at night, I went to Auru's Tower overlooking Lake Hylia.

I did some weird stuff on the way though, like using the lantern and instead of going up the steps I Z-Targerted and used the Backslice move. Then when I got nearer the poe I turned into wolf link, and attacked and killed it. This was just before morning by the way. The poe just disappeared, it didn't say I got it's soul.

Next I stood by the edge of the cliff until night-time which took like 1-2 hours and then Dun-Dun Duh-Duh-Dah-Duhnnn (emulating real sound effect, I got the soul)
