I had to watch FLCL 7 times to understand it 100%. Then I realized that a lot of it was just mind puppy. Still, for 6 episodes, it's great!

FLCL is a masterpiece.

It's a coming of age story, and yeah, it requires a lot of thought to understand where it's coming from, even though the message is wrapped around sexual innuendo.

I watched it about three times, then researched it, then watched it again, then was like holy crap I am watching gold.

But yeah, the point of me saying that is that Gainax is a verb because of the studio's tendency to get bipolar.

FLCLimax (FLCL episode 6) made me cry a little.

Also, in episode 2, Naota promised to stay with Mamimi... He broke that promise pretty quickly.

FLCL was too abstract for me. The plot jumped in different directions every five minutes and the only characters I liked were Haruka and that red-haired guy with the rectangle eyebrows. xD For 6 episodes though, it was alright.

I specifically remember FLCL pulling off South Park animation at some point. 'Still never liked that idea. o_e
