How many times do you hear guys complain about how ugly they are? I've never heard that. I've only heard girls do that. Ever.

This is also gender stereotyping. Did you know? Gender Stereotyping is wrong and dumb as puppy. Le gasp!!!!!!!!! Seriously it's not right, it's not funny, it's just ignorant.

I'm too manly to cry.

I mean this in comparison this isn't really the best population of males to really say what is the "norm"

We have a pretty large homosexual population, and oh lol we're all angsty teenagers

Hmmm

Why? I'm a lot more masculine than you are. I mean, I can admit that I experience emotions that make me cry and I can even admit to myself that I'm gay. Two things that you obviously can't do.

What does even mean

You cry --> you're more sensitive to emotion

Admitting you're gay --> completely irrelevant, as Chase is straight, has said so many times, and this is more about being honest with yourself, which has nothing to do with masculinity

I think mannerisms (both conscious and unconscious) have a lot to do with masculinity, and over the Internet that's kind of difficult to discern

I think Skyler thinks he knows all about my masculinity just because of some things I told him on Skype and his decision that my voice wasn't as deep as he'd like it to be.

But having never met me in person, he obviously doesn't know my mannerisms. Ask anyone I come in contact with daily, I'm confident all of them will claim I'm very masculine.

Voice had nothing to do with it. Didn't even think of that. It was the principal of being honest and in touch with one's self. I was just kidding about the gay thing. So, sorry about that. (Although, jacking off to gay porn is seriously questionable)

Mainly, I was just pissed that you said that real men don't cry, 'cause, you know, that's a load of bull shit. Anyways, being more sensitive to emotion is not feminine, and if you can admit that you are, it makes me feel like you are much more comfortable with your sexuality (by admitting to breaking stereotypes) which I find to be very masculine. So yea, that's all I was aiming at.

I don't think it's very fair for you guys to just decide that I have/am a vagina.

That's just how I see it, Cascade. I know people are probably gonna disagree with it, but masculinity is subjective in the end. I suppose if one said "I'm not comfortable with who/what I am" would also be a noble thing to admit, so I could see it as masculine too. I unno, it's kinda confusing... I guess it's just really, really subjective in the end.

Masculinity is a load of bullshit. There's some vague definition coming from somewhere, that if we knew where that somewhere was, we'd be able to pass it off as shit, I think.

What's funny is I knew this would happen. I was completely kidding about the "real men don't cry" bit. And everyone on here goes on the defensive. Like, suddenly, your masculinity is in question or something.

That's another quality of masculinity. You don't give a shit what others think of you.

Wow you guys are a bunch of girls.

Moderator of the year.

And personally I was just mentioning how masculinity is kind of a shitty thing in general.

I don't care what people think of me, and I don't cry either. But I'm still not masculine, according to everybody.

Still kidding, bro =)

I don't care if you're masculine or not. Do you feel masculine? Do you even want to feel masculine?

I'm happy with who I am. What does it matter if I sit here and call you a girl? Or effeminate? Who am I to say that, and how can I even possibly be the judge of you?

Just be happy as yourself. Don't worry about being masculine or not, unless you want to be.

(and this was totally serious.)

Did you notice you're a moderator, and you just spent the last page harassing VRS

It might get you points with the other members, but it's still just really dickish of you.

You're meant to clear up the shit on the forum, not cause it.

The shit on this forum doesn't want to be cleared up.

Because let's be honest here, if I held everyone on this forum accountable to the rules, the majority of us would be banned, myself included.

I didn't harass him, btw. He started it by saying he was more masculine than me. And turning a joke into something serious.
