I don't see how.

I can't explain why I feel that way, I just do. I guess it sucks that my preference is the only one that will be reality :(

International language would be way way more convenient though yeah. I'm just not a practical person.

English is getting there, largely in part to the United States.

But not enough to where I'd feel comfortable going out of the country knowing only english.

I hate Firefox 4. Hate it. I like the status bar, and I can't figure out how to get it back in FF4, so I'm sticking with 3.

The new FF is pretty awesome ^^

Okay guys, i'm thinking of telling my friend I like him. But i'm not too sure.

He's shown a bunch of signs that he likes me, like looking right into my eyes all the time, and acting playful during art class like poking my cheek (Yeah, i'm going to get flamed for this, but i'll put it anyway)

I also think he's gay because he always says that he does gay things, like looks up gay porn. A few seconds later, he says he's just kidding but i know he's not.

He also says he is Aethiest and asexual, and repeatedly says it.

It's like he repeats the "gay" things to get a point across, that he's gay.

Oh, and he says he writes stories that he would never let me read because they're "personal" and he told me that he has a secret that he would never tell me, but maybe figure out.

I think he already might know I like him by the way i've been acting, though. And I doubt VERY much it'll hurt our friendship.

Should I just sit him down alone, and tell him I like him? Or sit him down and talk to him seriously and ask him if he's gay?

Teto 6:41 PM

So I got my password wrong on my phone a few times

And here is my hilarious joke to go with that

What's the difference between a vegetable and my phone

My phone is only disabled for another five minutes

Come on, it's just one post and it's a slow evening. Don't be so melodramatic.

Anyway, I think you just need to play it safe since you don't want to lose a friend over your supposed feelings for him unless you feel exceptionally strong about this one.

I do feel strong about this one. Even more than my old one (Brian -__-;)

We have a connection. we like the same things, too. I just hope it turns out okay if he doesn't feel the same.

Ask if he's gay. And be serious.

On the subject of languages:

I find languages just, in general, amazing. There's so many different ways to say the exact same idea between all the world languages. Different sounds, different noises, different grammatical structures, different everything.

And languages don't just involve vocals. There are sign languages for Deaf people to communicate, written languages (which can sometimes be considered different than their parent language), pictoral languages (hieroglyphs I guess), etc. There are languages that are vocal, but rely on facial movements to change their meaning.

All these different ways that people use to communicate. It's just such a vast, amazing thing.

Not to say that a universal language wouldn't be useful, it'd just be kinda boring for a language enthusiast (I don't even know if I'm at the point of an 'enthusiast' but I really really like languages).

I just don't know how to really explain it.

I'm thinking about becoming a Linguist when I grow up (cuz I'm so young and all), cuz I'd have a passion for it.

On the subject of Jared's friend:

If he's comfortable with telling you, he will tell you. If you do sit down with him and talk with it, try to avoid making him feel cornered. That'd just be uncomfortable, and he might lose some of his trust in you.

I've had a friendship continue even after I asked someone if they liked me, though after I asked it was kinda awkward. We don't really talk much anymore, but I guess we didn't talk much to begin with. They're sort of a really quiet person.

Best of luck, though. I hope it works out in the end for you both.

Thank you FPD. I'm telling him tomorrow either after lunch or school when we're alone.

But i hope i don't get heartbroken again. But if not, i'll be fine. I hope. I just hope he stays my friend.

No. No one would even look or care there anyway. Instead of being a jerk help for once.

Maybe you should lay off relationships for a while. They seem to go badly and even if it does turn out well it probably won't last. If it does you'll somehow get pregnant and things will go downhill from there.
