Pokemon Type Match Up Analogies

Been playing a lot of Pokemon recently, as I'm sure most of you have. Type match ups have always been confusing for me, so I came up with a handful of analogies to help me out. So I thought, why don't we make some up to help us out! It could be fun... maybe. Here, I'll take a few easy ones and leave a couple out for you guys to play. If you feel someone's analogy isn't too great, please offer your own.

Here is a Type Chart that I stole from Bulbapedia:

TypeChart.png

Okay, here goes-

Water > Fire: Water puts out fires... I mean, duh.

Fire > Grass: Plants tend to burn pretty damn quickly. Ever see a forest fire?

Grass > Water: Plants absorb water like a bawss!

Psychic > Fighting: Brains over brawn.

Fighting > Dark: Tough guys aren't afraid of the dark.

Bug > Grass: Insects eat plants.

Bug > Dark: Insects are most commonly found at night time anyways.

Bug > Psychic: I suppose they aren't smart enough to play mind games with... or something.

(I've been playing with my Leavanny a lot. Thus all the bug ones)

I have a few more, but I'll let you guys say some. :>

Sure, Pokemon geekiness ftw

Ghost, Bug, Dark > Psychic = Three most common phobias?

Ice > Dragon = Reptiles are cold-blooded, dragons are kinda reptilian?

Fighting > Dark = Fighting-types are more honourable compared to sneaky, cheatsy Dark-types? (They are called the Evil-type in Japan if that like, helps explain it)

Normal =/= Ghost = Ghosts just pass through plain objects, and plain objects can't touch ghosts? Lol so shakyyyy, and I have no idea what the sign for cancelling out is

There's some ideas, I have more but I'll let more people do them yayyy

OOOO, That Ice > Dragon one is good! The > Psychic three is a little iffy, but it makes sense. Better than what I could think of.

Grass doesn't burn quickly at all. Go outside and throw some matches on your lawn and see what happens.

Grass is just the Pokemon term for plant. I really with they called it plant. I mean, how many grass type Pokemon are specifically grass? And they burn more quickly when compared to other types. I mean, aside from coal, rocks don't tend to burn that well.

Bug > Grass - Bug eats the SHIT out of grass, even has "Bug Bite".

Bug > Psychic - Because who isn't afraid of bugs? Not psychics, that's for sure.

Bug > Dark - The masters of the dark. Basically ninjas in a cute little package.

Fighting > Normal - No one likes normal, so beat their FACE.

Fighting > Rock - Have you never seen Japanese people break rocks? Neither have I, but they can apparently do so.

Fighting > Steel - Everyone is Toph.

Fighting > Ice - BAM, it's broken.

Fighting > Dark - Imagine Arnold fighting some ninjas. He takes the ninja stars, the shuriken, and all the other projectiles they have, and when they run out, what are they gonna do? Close combat? With Arnold?

Ice > Flying - I'm p. sure freezing a bird's wings while it's flying is a pretty big deal.

Ice > Ground - Freezing the ground would make it immovable, thus having the advantage.

Ice > Grass - I don't see crops being grown in winter.

Ice > Dragon - If a dragon is breathing fire and you freeze it and then freeze the dragon, dat dragon ain't hurtin' nothin'.

Ehh.

Verbs are for pussies! Though I suppose "break" would be a verb too...
