I've only heard of Funimation through the ads on some of the DVDs I have. I thinkif I can get it here, it would have to be a special bundle with a bunch of crap I don't care about.

I don't know what happened to them. Wikipedia mentioned Funimation changing hands as of this month, but I don't know if that's going to affect the channel much.

FUNimation does not create anime series: they license already-created anime series, and they dub them over in English.

They are an English dub company (pretty much an American anime provider too, since they also sub their releases).

But regarding your problem with 'FUNimation Channel', Iunno maybe you had to subscribe to it and the subscription expired. *shrugs* Or they could've just taken it off air completely because it wasn't bringing in enough money.

The other thing is that FUNimation got sold out, too, so I don't know if they're still calling themselves 'FUNimation' or if they just got assimilated into the bigger company they were sold to.

Either way, no FUNi channel. :\
