Posted 7 Mar 2012 ya Tiger and Bunny had, hands down, the dumbest sequel season hook I've ever seen. Well, next to Black Rock Shooter's using of the chronological middle of the OVA as a second season hook by implying it was chronologically the end. Speaking of, I was kind of hoping there was a sequel as I'm pretty sure Yuu (the other girl) was implied to also have another self and the actual ending also implied potential sequel. Posted 7 Mar 2012 going to eventually hit up kamen rider fourze. its like kamen rider got slapped in the face by high school musical, and never quite managed to wipe the american stereotypes off. the best part is commentating the crap out of it. ive never seen a tokusatsu before, so it tends to go down something like: "high school football players--they can throw you over three tables" "this school has the crappiest construction, EVER. its like, made entirely out of drywall. the table too? really?" "oh yes, because football players can tackle you ten feet back, through the air" "oh man, look at the little cgi robot, guise, oh noeee its teacher, hide the robo--did that thing just transform into a hamburg--that kid just threw it in his backpack! who the hell throws unwrapped hamburgers casually in their backpacks?" oh yeah, cuz chucking hamburgers in backpacks is totally normal behavior. before class. in the morning. uneaten. Posted 7 Mar 2012 maybe. i mean, ive seen cosplayers about that age. one of em was dressed at kilala(?) from inuyasha. the same con, there was basically a life-sized kilala cosplayer, and the two ran into each other. from what i was told, the kids face was just like *o* i know of one that had no idea they were cosplaying, though. their parents were dressed as maes/gracia hughes from FMA, and the kid was elicia. thing is, the kid wasnt even born yet. "gracia" was preggy.
Posted 7 Mar 2012 I thought the ending was nice; not amazing but not godawful.

Posted 8 Mar 2012 Man, I've been waiting to find a copy of Mononoke on DVD, but it's no longer being distributed in NA. I would definitely recommend Welcome to the NHK. It's a true slice-of-life show with a healthy blend of comedy and seriousness that really examines the phenomenon of hikikomori. If I could, I'd get everyone here to watch it.
