By the year 2020, The United States was fighting wars in Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea. With the number of soldiers dwindling and the cost of war sucking the US Debt down further a plan was devised.

Using the most advanced science of Genetic Engineering and Nanotechnology four people were chosen, each from one branch of the armed forces to undergo a top secret experiment, Project Olympus.

Marine Colonel James Rourke became Zeus,

Airforce Pilot Jessica Marsh became Hera,

Navy Diver Roland Thompson became Poseiden

and Army Staff Sergeant Rick Myers became Hades

Gifted with greatly increased strength, speed, senses and healing coupled with bio-tech nano inhancements the four Olympians defeated Americas enemies single handedly.

What followed was an unparalleled era of peace until something happened. The Nanites collected in their brains and caused a change driving the heroes insane. In mere days they had conquered America and a week later the entire world fell. In an ironic twist Earth once again fell to the Olympian Gods.

It is 20 years later and humanity is still under the Olympian rule, They watch us from high above in a floating base called Olympus while we toil below. But the salvation of mankind may very well be at had.
