Most of the problem was in how brash he was about things. Just generally being abrasive sometimes, like with the "overqualified" attitude. Plus, I recall he was talking about "welcoming new users into the fold", as if "the fold" should be a viable thing that should be taken seriously.

It has been happening in less frequency lately, but that's the gist of it.

Chase was a coolio user, when he wasn't doing the stuff mentioned above, but it's like, sometimes things were just a bit too questionable for a moderator. ;x I mean, we're laid back, but not like that.

But some users just feel the need to leave. I appreciate he actually made a thread about it rather than just kind of drifting away. Like, you know, every single user in the forum that's ever been a large part of it then just left or become deathly inactive.

And that's just how I feel about him being a moderator. I would never say I'm overqualified for this position, no matter what I did with it. And my IRL friend network is a very large and pervasive force on this board. If I wasn't here, many of the users you see every day here would never have thought to drop by. I'm the only guy on the forum who actually goes out of his way to advertise Hyrule.net, with my panels. There is a certain level of humility you have to have to be a bearable officer, and Chase was being kind of a diva.
