oh hi most of you probably know I write lame music in my free time even though music is bad so I guess here is a thread where I'll post stuff I'm working on and you can complain about it if you really want to here is something I started last night go ahead and listen or whatever it's not done yet of course

http://k002.kiwi6.com/hotlink/b0folp8x98/loose.mp3

The actual title is A Light Rain on a Murder in the Hills because I'm going to start using really specific and bad titles for things

You don't have to post in fact chances are this'll be pushed to page 9 by the end of the week and that's fine I hope you like all the run-on sentences I'm just trying to show that punctuation is important

Shouldn't this be moved to a more appropriate section, like Non Zelda Related Art?

Because this is artful.

Ganny when you're famous you have to go ahead and make ridiculously long titles for absolutely everything, launching you into the high ranks of fame and obscurity.

Like The Howling Glory Of The Darkest Winds, This Voice Was Thunderous And The Words Holy, Tangling Their Way Around Our Hearts And Clutching Our Innocent Awe. by Red Sparowes

The Black Hawk War, or, How to Demolish an Entire Civilization and Still Feel Good About Yourself in the Morning, or, We Apologize for the Inconvenience but You're Going to Have to Leave Now, or, 'I Have Fought the Big Knives and Will Continue to Fight Them Until They Are Off Our Lands!' by Sufjan Stevens

Riffs and Variations on a Single Note for Jelly Roll, Earl Hines, Louis Armstrong, Baby Dodds, and the King of Swing, to Name a Few by Sufjan Stevens

Honor is something pheo does not have.

Also also, some old stuff:

http://k002.kiwi6.com/hotlink/844sfjsg59/i_iv_iii_v_d.mp3

just a piano-type thing I did one night, without any sort of suitable ending. It's structurally fragile, but kind of stays entertaining. Because I'm a lame-o who doesn't care, this was just saved with the method of indexing I'd been using earlier, the first few chords and the key. In this case, "i-IV-III-V(d)".

This is the same sort of lame thing kind of I guess:

http://k002.kiwi6.com/hotlink/29a4s8j706/i_iii_vi_v_c.mp3

I-iii-vi-V©. The copyright sign should just be a C in parentheses lol :( Not only is it boring, but it's in C major, the LAMEST OF ALL KEYS. There's an interesting chord change or two in the parts where the accompaniment gets staccato-ish, and it actually later modulates to A major, but other than that it's poo-poo.

sure wish my piano synth was that coolio :<

But yeah I think it's coolio Ganny. I just think it needs some stuff to make it more exciting, like some kind of percussion, or maybe some brass tones.

I like the last one in C major. It has a nice lighthearted tune and it could probably be some kind of mall theme for a silly video game. This is how I imagine it to be so.

this is in a weird place. It's not entertaining, that's for sure.

also yes, in that one specifically I should have added some kind of percussion if I were ever going to be like "hey, it's time to make this a finished product worth listening to"

http://k004.kiwi6.com/hotlink/00d592b576/class2.mp3

Why can't I make cool progressions like this anymore?

I wrote this out on paper after school a year and a half ago without knowing what it would sound like and just now found out.

This one is one of yours thats one of my favorites. Sometimes I listen to it when I'm sad.

What program have you been using to make all of these? I want to use Logic pro but I'm still trying to find VST's that are multiple instruments instead of just one instrument.

Pheo, I literally have that saved as (and I quote): "literallyTheMostBoringThingI'veEverWritten;IHopeIfTheyFindThisCenturiesAfterI'veDiedThatTheyWon'tThinkIWasEverProudOfIt.mmpz"

:(

I write most things in Cubase, but that specific one was in Linux Multimedia Studio.

That is the real file name.

Man, was this Ganny person ever proud of this? Who would be proud of such... blandness?

By specific one, are you talking about the one in the first post? With the multiple instruments? Linux Multimedia Studio let you do multiple instruments? Because multiple instruments is literally the one thing that's keeping me from feeling emboldened to learn logic pro.

Why don't you write a theme song for me? It would really help boost my enormous ego. :D

use the theme for fighting an Iron Knuckle, only with loud duck quacks interjecting at parts where there would be any kind of excitement
