Posted 13 Mar 2012 Yesterday I watched Star Wars for the first time ever! It was really good, but i probably should have watched Episode IV first to understand it more. Yesssss another Star Wars fan on hyrule.net
Posted 13 Mar 2012 i dont think someone who has only watched phantom menace can be what you are looking for in a star wars fan lol (i watched phantom menace first too when i was like 5)
Posted 13 Mar 2012 The only good thing to come out of Phantom Menace was Darth Maul, who was promptly killed. Too bad, it would've been really cool if he was the main antagonist of the prequels. Instead we got Anakin Skywalker. "Now THIS is pod racing!" NO IT ISN'T YOU ARE IN A SPACESHIP IT IS NOTHING LIKE POD RACING SHUT UP
Posted 13 Mar 2012 Darth Maul? what the squid good was he? He had one line in the whole movie. A line sooooooo insignificant that I didnt even remember he said it until later

Posted 13 Mar 2012 You know who had a lot of lines? Jar Jar. Sometimes the bad guy doesn't need to talk.
Posted 13 Mar 2012 That may be, but can you imagine Phantom Menace without Maul? Nothing but Jar Jar, young Anakin, and those lame-ass battle droids
Posted 13 Mar 2012 I watched Phantom Menace once when it first came out in theatres. I don't really remember much about it. I should watched all six together at some point. I've seen IV-VI a lot, but I and III only once. Never seen Attack of the Clones. I remember the BBC Narnia movies. We used to have taped copies of them, and my sister loved them. Again, haven't watched them in a long time. I wasn't too keen on the books tbh.
Posted 13 Mar 2012 I felt like darth maul was just fanservice to 13 year old boys. yeah basically. He didn't actually have any character depth or anything, so he really shouldn't have been in more movies. He was just a one shot badass
Posted 13 Mar 2012 I'm afraid to watch Harry Potter 1 and 2 for the same reason. I feel like they're better as nostalgia. Cheesiest movies ever made.
Posted 14 Mar 2012 I didn't like them when they came out. I think it was because of my obsession with the books, and it felt like the first two movies talked down to its audience, which I never felt the books did. Maybe I need to reread the books now that I'm older. Got season 4 of Big Bang Theory and watching it right now. I liked George Takei's cameo a couple episodes ago. Posted 14 Mar 2012 the only thing I didn't like about the movies is that there is no Peeves. PEEEEEEEEEVES.
