Images in post count

Well all I'm suggesting is increasing that limit. I don't think double the images would slow things down much more than they already would, and if it does we can always just switch it back.

It's not that it will slow you down but can slow down other people.

It already takes 2 seconds to load the forum index: http://tools.pingdom...rule.net/forum/

Time Spent per Content Type

Image 88.62% Script 5.16% HTML 3.98% CSS 2.24%

While I'd agree with more images, Tappy's got veto and reason.

It would be cool if it were possible to increase the image count in some forums and not the others

Like the Fan Content/Original content boards since that's where the majority of the images seem to be posted

I am wondering, is there a reason that we can't post png images?

It's just that I post pictures all the time, and it really pisses me off when I spend more than 15 minutes looking for the right image and then finding out that I can't post it.

Just change it to a jpeg.

It's probably due to the size of PNG images as opposed to jpeg's. They're bigger, you know.

I've never had a problem with posting pngs?

Host them on an image site, then tag them. They'll show up, I promise.

It's only possible to do it globally with that being said I just upped it to 10 to test a feature I added. Basically all images on a page may not load for you until you scroll close to them or past them, so pages might get a little jumpy because images are loading after you scrolled past them.

Easiest way to see this is by going to the Picture Megathread
