I don't think things will change much. We're not horrible posters in general, and if we are rubbish posters then the mods are too, since they're pretty much the same as us lesser beings, and so they aren't going to tighten up much. We all know how to identify bad threads and bad posts, and those are the ones that will be recognised by the mods too. We can't post shitty joke threads anymore for fun, but really, who will miss those?

I agree with getting rupees for things other than posts and threads, but it's simple and easy enough without making it a bigger deal. Treating it like a big deal could do more damage than not caring; if people don't see it as a big deal, they wont get competitive, and quality wont go down.

I can't imagine it's going to ruin the forum or something, don't be so doom and gloom.

I wonder if we could have a special subforum of some kind for casual discussion topics that don't generate rupees. I think that would solve a large part of the problem.

we could always throw that stuff in the wild west. i mean, its "unmoderated" not "all the porn and sexual questions/announcements we can do".

it doesnt have to be porn in there, guys. and that place is pretty dead atm. why not put the junk threads there? its be like a surprise whenever you log in--"what new crazy mini-thread did the wild west spawn this time?"

This though it seems like it is 75% adult content, and at the same time password protected, which by this time I assume everyone already has it.

I don't think that's a good idea, but the fact that I don't have the password leaves me a bit biased. I like the joke threads, and while I don't want them to clutter the forums and be called "Rupee harvesting" I still would like to be able to see them and possibly post replies that I(And no one else) find funny.

But that is only a personal opinion, and you do whatever you're going to do, I'll be happy with it. Just let me staaaaaay @_@

or you could you know

give me the pass

I don't actually mind one way or the other if people are posting a lot.

At least people are posting.

why are you talking about mods in third person like we're not here and don't read threads

What's your reasoning to continue to put down Tappy/Michael for no reason at all?

I think Teto's got the right idea here. I know that I haven't been really "modding" more than usual, and I haven't been checking the rupee page at all because I don't really care who has the most rupees. I'm just replying to things because there's been more activity. Which is good.

if anything the rupees have created a "healthy" level of incentive for people to post in the less active forums, namely the Zelda related ones.
