Yes, I agree with all of this. I really feel like a lot of Social Justice stuff is about condemning people until they think the "proper" things about race/gender/all that stuff. It might get fast results in some cases but I feel like the emphasis needs to be more on encouraging compassion for people that are treated unfairly rather than just labeling certain people and mindsets as "toxic" or "irredeemable."

I've honestly got a sorta weird view on any social justice argument or arguments in general. That is, the moment you're calling names, you've lost the fight--so even if someone is arguing for rights or whatnot and I agree with the cause, if they're dropping crude insults and names, I have zero respect for them. You can debate, you can try to persuade, but the moment you throw a tantrum like a small child, you will get absolutely nothing done, because no one will listen to that, and now everyone that follows you is stuck with your anger plastered on their dash.

I made a new blog. It's a theme blog featuring "spooky" pictures, art, stories, gifs, and videos. Right now im trying to beef it up but starting next week im gonna stick on a theme schedule, Like, Saturday is Alien/UFO day, Thursday is Soft Grunge/Pastel Goth, Wednesday is Horror. Stuff like that. Anyways, check it out! (there is a tad bit of NSFW content, but its just drawings and anime)

How many of you are aware that tumblr just held an unofficial "dash con" that went hilariously poorly? Apparently it wasn't much farther than an hour's drive from my house, if I had known about it I would have gone so I could just watch it all unfold.

Sounds like a lot of fans of stuff that happen to be on Tumblr getting together. Fanbases gonna fanbase I figure.

Perhaps it'll get interesting when the actual crazies from Tumblr make a con that goes belly-up.

(And granted, I don't really think this is even the entire story and I don't think any media outlet could hope to give this complete coverage, much less one I'd consider dubious.)

Tumblr didn't host this event, people just used tumblr to advertise it. It wasn't "official" or anything.
