in grade school, my friend was denied a chance to try out for the newly formed cheerleading squad cause hes a boy. Even though he has a huge background in theatre and ballet. He probably wouldve been better than any of the girls.

I actually did fill out an application recently, one of the questions asking if I had been in any of a list of leadership organizations. Said list contained a ton of minority leadership groups and prominently the Girl Scouts of America, but didn't list Boy Scouts of America as a leadership organization they would consider.

 

I didn't feel oppressed or anything stupid like that but it was incredibly obnoxious. :|
