Just to make sure your year was awesome, I've drawn up this beautiful, priceless, breathtaking work of art at the last minute. Kudos to Pheo for inspiration.

 

 

Look at that font... those images... those old avatars oh my gosh 

 

Ok so yeah, one of these "old" avatars got swapped out a few hours ago but hey, Silver had that thing for years or something. Anyway, the idea was to get a bunch of avatars that some of you had aaages ago and but them in this lovely New Years card, not only for nostalgic purposes but also because it shows how we change as people and stuff. But mostly for the nostalgia actually; who else remembered that Pheo was a big Vriska fan?

 

I tried to find as many old avatars as I could but for most everyone I couldn't find/remember what you guys had. Apologies in particular to Saha, Tappy, Ganny, Teto, Muffin and T1g who I couldn't find anything for even though they've changed their avatars a million times and been here forever. :x

 

Anyway, hope you all enjoy this final treat before 2015 rolls in

Well it's nice to see that even my avatars reflect how I went from being a naive, idiot newcomer to the bitter and hateful hag I am today. Happy New Year assholes!

I had to relocate the images themselves and re-crop them in the case of Cascade, Pheo and Nabe. I have the strangest feeling that I got Nabe's old signature instead of his avatar but it was easily the oldest thing I could remember so I decided to use it (also because I just like his old avy a lot ).

 

Cascade is right though, there's a lot of change reflected in how different our avatars are (dunno if I'd put it like that though ). I thought about putting mine in there but I don't remember any of my older avatars, strangely enough. Lots of them were just different pics of Eridan anyway and before that they were really boring.

That was probably the avatar I recognized you by, when I went away for a few years (not that I'm all that active now) it threw me off that it wasn't there anymore

Basically after talking to you that afternoon I suddenly realized that I could remember the old avatars of you, Cascade, Nabe, and Sayuri. I dunno what it is about those four that stuck in my mind so well, but I think it's because they're very striking. Then later that day Silver did an avatar update and I figured using the old Sollux one would give me a nice number to put on a card. 

 

Finding the images was kind of a chore. Cascade's was hardest since I remembered it was Teddy from P4 dressed as Alice, but it took a while to find the specific one(ended up using the worksafe site Safebooru). Yours was really easy thanks to the MSPA worksafe booru and a lucky guess that your image would be toward the back on account of being so old. For Sayuri and Nabe, I google searched "Hyrule.net Sayuri" and "Nabeshin" (turns out Nabe was named after some anime producer with a lot of self-inserts so I had an easy time after that). Silver was easy of course since the avatar change was recent and Sollux was still hanging around when I decided to use that one as a fifth. So yeah, just some image gallery searching and a bit of diligence

 

Oh yeah, the croppings are a wild guess. I remember Nabe's old avatar only showed the eyes up, Cascade's and yours had at least  part of one of the character's hands in them, and then Sayuri's was found that way in google images.

 

it's a real bummer I remembered T1g's older avatar after finishing and posting this up. Maybe next  year I can take submissions instead
