Nabe linked this really interesting article about him. Kind of shows you the psychology behind the game design when the creator was working on the Souls franchise. It's also a really inspirational story of someone who found their calling later in life despite wandering through it aimlessly to start with.

It's interesting that he worked on Armored Core, which also had a big learning curve IMO.

imo dark souls wasn't really crazy hard. The learning curve was perfect. The game is just designed insanely well.
