halo 3 beta

okay so i had halo 1 and 2 and i didnt like them very much (because i didnt have xbox live) so i sold them. then i got an xbox 360 which came with xbox live. anyway, soon i heard all of the glorious features coming in halo 3. i really wanted it, and luckily i had just gotten crackdown that comes with free halo 3 beta. so i waited and waited for beta to be downloadable. the day came and i figured out there was a DELAY! then the next day it became downloadable only for me to find out that i need xbox live GOLD to download it! all that waiting for nothing except hearing how awesome it is from everywhere!

i didn't know you needed gold to download it...

wait no that makes perfect sense, the halo 3 beta is a beta for ONLINE. The gold membership is so you can play games online, how do you expect to be allowed to play a beta for online if you're not a member for online games anyway?
