"Gai" Sensai?

Nah, I'm not mad this time. But....WTF? "Gai"? Why would a Sensai (whatever they are) IF ANY, want to be called "Gay"? That does NOT send the right message.

No, I have NOTHING against Naruto...but this puzzles me A LOT.

Anyone know WHY he's called ""gai"? Or...no? 'Cuz then that REALLY doesn't sound right.

Don't forget that Naruto is made in Japan. It looks like "gay" and means that in French but it doesn't necessarily mean that. :) It's supposed to be pronounced Guy Sensei too.

For example, the name "Hard Gai" on the Japanese TV show "is actually a pun on the word geinin (芸人) which means actor or performer."

Yes. you must understand that there are certain words in different languages that may look like offensive or swear words in english (or vice versa).. and assuming that its a japanese anime.. and the title is japanese.. you can almost bet that 'gai' in japanese does not equal 'gay' in english
