I am not very musicly talentid but i sometimes try to play the base guiter an delectral guiter. It really doessnt matter my brother plays the cello and is incredible good so any soong he hears he can play the melody by ear instantly so its discourging how hard i have to try, but i have exepted it

Playing things by ear isn't THAT hard, if you practice it a lot, you can figure almost everything out. First I wasn't really good at doing that too but when my teacher suggested I should try to play along with Pirates of the Caribbean music, eventually I became better and better. Now I play almost everything I like when it passes by on the radio. So just keep on practicing!
