Hm.... pretty good for a first try. The text is a bit drab, and they background needs work. It looks like you just hit Filters>Render>Clouds, and it's not dark. Nice start though. Here's mine.

Nope. I've never done one. I got good through experimenting and alot of practice. I'm sure it helps though.
