I mumble my comments of disdain at Monkey Tail and he helps me

up.

"You know,you didn't exactly go into another coma...," Zidane

whispered as we caught up with Steiner,Garnet and Vivi,"But you kept

kicking me in your sleep.. Like you were struggling." He must mean

when that winged guy was flying me around and I tried to get down..

"Eh,bad dream." I reply, running to catch up with Garnet. We're the

only girls in the group,so... I guess we gotta look out for each other.

"Heya,Garnet."

"Oh,hello,Vi. Did you get a well sleep last night?" she asked. Must

have forgotten what happened.

"Not really.."

That's where the conversation ended. We just...walked on. Steiner

would occasionally yell at me or Zidane for walking too close to

Garnet, but...

I just start humming some random songs,and out of the corner of my

eye, I can see Rusty--...Steiner's eye twitching!! Oh god,I've heard of

peoples' eyes twitching,but I never really got to catch them while it

happened... I switch from Zelda's Lullaby to 'I've Been Working on the

Railroad', one of the most well-known (and somewhat annoying)

songs. He gives me a death glare, but holds back because he knows

Vivi would freak if he attacked. I hum a little louder...wait,it's not me

humming LOUDER,it's ZIDANE humming with ME! I turn my head,and

see him smiling from ear to ear. Pretty soon,we're singing it (seems

Gaians know this song too)

"We've been working on the raaaailroooad,all the live-long daaay!!

Weeee've been working on the raaailroad, Just to pass the time away.

Don't you hear the whistle blowing? Rise up so early in the morn...

Don't you hear the captain shouting--"

"ENOUGH!!"

Ziddy and I both fall over laughing, Vivi (and,surprisingly,Garnet) begin

to snicker as well. Steiner looks like he's going to pull a Bomb,just

like the stunt at the play...

"I shall not have this ridiculous behaviour!! Mistress Vi,I expected

better from you! And you,thief,have put her under YOUR influence!"

Rusty yells, shaking with anger. We only laughed harder. His

lectures mean nothing to me now,I'm happier than I've been in the

two days I've been here besides the time I met Vivi!

"You only laugh harder?! What is wrong with your minds!" he scolds,

throwing his arms up in the air.

"H-hey..."

We look over at Vivi,who's snickering.

"Dog pile!" he shouts, jumping up on top of me. Wait,that's a game

here? You learn somethin` new everyday,eh...

"I'm sorry,cute one, but I don't wanna play." I say, putting him on the

ground. His hat seems to become more lopsided as tears gather

in his eyes. Suddenly,I kick Steiner off his feet. He falls,causing a

small earthquake.. Someone needs to go on a diet.

"But I bet Rusty wants to play."

Vivi squealed,and tackled Steiner. I got back up and watched as he

crawled all over the confused knight. It looks...quite entertaining.

I got an idea in my head just when Steiner wrestled him off.

I walked away from Zidane and Garnet,who were..speaking and

towards the sulking Vivi.

"Hey Vivian..You ever played airship?"

"N-no."

I pick him up and run around,holding him above my head. This is

much more fun than it looks! Vivi screams with laughter, arms out

as if we was a plane. You know,you never see him this way... He

must really get depressed later in the game.

Suddenly,I trip on something cold and slippery. Vivi screams and falls

out of my grip,landing on his poor face. I land on my back, my head

hitting the ground hard..Ok,worst fall of my life,hands-down.

"T-that..hurt..." we both squeak out. Steiner gasps,and says "Look out

for that ice!"

"Gee,thanks,Rusty,right after they nearly crack their heads open on

the ice." Zidane scolds sarcastically while helping Vivi up.

"Oh,sure,I'm just fine,only seconds away from another coma here!"

Garnet helps me up, and dusts off the back of my shirt..

"Thanks."

So..This is Ice Cavern..

Chapter 10.

Ok,how long have we been standing in front of this cave? I know it's

only been like a minute, but it feels like it's been 9 days... (if you don't

get it, check out when chapter 9 was made and when this was)

"Why are we here..?" Vivi asked, causing me to jump. Oh yeah, we

both fell asleep before the others got around to discussing the next

location. The others give me a strange look, and I return it.. Whaaat!

I'm not doing anything! Besides, you have to answer Vivi's question..

Zidane turns to Vivi and says, "It's the only way that isn't blocked off."

Vivi still gives him a confused look, and he sighs. Ziddy takes out

a yellow parchment, and hands it to the mage. First time I've seen

him take out the map that Blank tossed him.. Maybe it's a memory of

him to the monkey-tailed thief. Steiner and Garnet are still staring

at me, which is rather unnerving. Steiner's the one with the sword that

sliced into my shoulder (yeah,I still hold a grudge for that),and Garnet

hit me on the head with that staff before... It hurts like HELL. So if

they're plotting their next attack, I'm afraid. Very afraid.

Our gaze returns to Vivi, who hands back Zidane the map. He takes it

with a rather forceful grab, and stalks off. The mage gives me a

confused look while Steiner finds a whole new topic to scream at

Monkey tail about (it was about Zidane being a violent person towards

children).

I take Vivi's hand, and we hide behind a wall just outside the cavern.

"Remember what happened back in the forest,Vivs?"

He nods, and shudders a bit. I think my spine felt a shiver as well, but

I continue.

"Well, Zidane's friend,Blank, got caught back there and was petrified.

You know that as well?"

Vivi nods again, and adjusts that hat I'm itching to rip off the top of his

head.

"That map is the last thing he has to remember him by. That's why he

was hesitant about letting you touch it, even though I'm sure he'd

trust you with his life. Would you like it if I took something that reminds

you of a...dead relative from you?"

He nods (YET AGAIN! I'm finding it rather annoying for some

strange reason), and takes out a pointy (and rather bloody) fork.

Vivi had a Qu for a grandfather, so I'm not surprised.

"My grandfather gave this to me... Before he.. died." he muttered. I

hate it when someone talks like that... It's something that tears my

already sewn up heart.

Suddenly, we hear a loud clang and a yelp.

"Sounds like Rusty and Monkeh Tail are about to tear each other

apart.. We better go seperate them."

Vivi giggles as he puts the fork back into his pocket.

"Yo,Tinman,Cowardly Lion, split it up. We need to save it for Ice

Cavern!" I shout in my 'adult' voice.

Steiner gives me a death glare, which quickly changes to the same

look as earlier, and Zidane also gives me the same look, only this

one seems a little pleased.

"You think I'm a lion?"

I rub the back of my head, a little baffled that someone would

misinterpret the word 'cowardly'. Vivi tugs on my sleeve, and I look

down.

"Can I help you?"

"Your eyes keep changing color."

Huh? When did this become fact? Is that why Rusty and Princess

kept staring at my face. Well, there aren't many mirrors in this world..

I dive for a piece of ice off the enterance of the cavern, and holds it

up to my face... He's right. My eyes are bluer than they usually are...

Now orange?!

"What the f-"

Garnet slaps the back of my head, before Vivi could hear. I hang out

with Ziddy too much, he taught me how to be a pottymouth..

Now they're purple! Wow, they actually kind of good in purple...

...Awww, green again.

"Your eyes are just like a rainbow!" Vivi exclaims happily. Hey, who

doesn't like rainbows? `Specially little mages.

"Why,thank you.. Your eyes like two little stars." I say quickly. I think

it's kind of unnatural that I come up with metaphors, similies, and

poems so fast... It's scary.

"I find it to be wizardry... Are you a mage as well, Mistress Vi?" Steiner

asks, a look of wonder on his face. I shake my head, knowing that

I know NO magic at all. Only thing I know is that you're throwing your

will onto the field when you cast magic, which seems risky to me.

^^ My cousin named BM taught me that... He never did tell me what

his initials meant,though. Maybe...? Nah.

"Vivi is a mage, and I don't see HIS eyes going ballistic."

OMG CLIFFHANGER.

Ah,who cares, next chapter on the way.

S-so cold... Why couldn't I have gotten teleported here with my fuzzy

blue cape?! Well, least I even HAVE sleeves, poor Zidane only has

that sleeveless vest on his back. His pants don't look built for ice,

either. Dagger's suit looks a bit better, but it seems kinda... Nnn.

Steiner,you don't even wanna know. Vivi and I are really the only ones

dressed for the cold, and yet we're fallin` apart here.

"V-V-Vivi, think you could share the hat..." I chatter, nearly biting my

tounge in half.

"Y-you mean take it off? But.. It's black mage tradition to wear it...

Besides, if you saw my face, you'd loose your mind because it's so--"

"Cute. Right.." I mutter, feeling my sword belt cutting in to my skin.

I loosened it slightly, then tied it back up. It's the only thing that's

keeping me walking, because if I sat, it'd squeeze me to death!

"FLAN!"

Uh,Steiner, why would you scream a dessert's name right in the

middle of a cave...

Suddenly, my foot froze up. No,seriously, it was encased in a block of

ice!!

"I warned you.." the knight says, smashing the ice with his foot.

Unfortunately, his foot came smashing down onto my own, with his

metal shoe still on. OH SHIZNET!

(Garnet's point of view)

Vi was hopping around on one foot now, which I found a little

inappropriate, even if it was out of pain. I casted Cure quickly, then

hit the wiggling mass of orange jello that Steiner had called a Flan.

It bounced back, and exploded into a bunch of little Flans. I thought

they looked a bit like ooglops.. It would explain why Steiner and Vi

are screaming and running around.

(Zidane's pov)

Y`know, Vi is such a wuss sometimes.. I mean, she ran from a FLAN,

for Cinna's sake.. Well, least Vivi helped. Rusty slipped and fell on his

back. No way was I helping him up. That'd mean my own back

problems...

"Would you stop staring? We need to get movin`..." Vi complains,

kicking some snow in my face. It's a lot more painful than it sounds...

It feels like a hundred needles poking you in your already numbed

face. Like it fell asleep or something!

(Vi's pov)

YES! Finally, revenge for all the smart-mouth things he's said to me.

... Well, he does seem to be in a lot of pain.. `k, I should have just

tackled him outside the cave or somethin`.

"V-Vi..."

"Yes..?"

"I'm gonna kill you later for that."

Yay! Another one who's out for my blood! Let's see, that adds him to

the list of Steiner, and that Angel guy. Least Ziddy doesn't have fangs.

Or a big sword. Only two knives..

I back up next to Garnet and Vivi, trying to get away from the death

glare I was recieving. Hey, it's my two mage friends! My two mage

friends who won't kill me no matter what!! Aheheheh...

Now... We HAVE to have been walking for a half-hour now... And my

feet are ready to fall off. Woohoo, my ankle must be frost-bitten...

I think, if the moogle that Vivi rescues is still here, we passed it...

`cause nothing's happened ever since that battle except walking,

sneezing, and the sound of a far-off bell.

...

Wait, a bell? That only happened when Black Waltz #1 came in!!... Oh

crap.

Steiner walks ahead of us, almost a knightcicle, muttering "I'm...

coming... Princess.."

He then topples over the cliff, landing with a CRASH!... Why didn't I

think of pushin` him off? The others, however, are a bit more

worried. My body feels a bit heavy... Gotta lie down... There, now I can

rest and babysit these weirdos.

"You ok Rusty?... `Course you ain`t." Zidane says from under the cliff.

Vivi falls off as well, and I show a bit more concern. Well, from playing

the game, I know they're ok, but still. You see a nine-year old plummet

from such a height, you'd worry too... *yawn*

Garnet collapses right beside me, and reach over to adjust her head,

which she had put down at an awkward angle. Got to be comfortable

when asleep, even when it's a... spell-induced.. sleep...*yawns again*

"Crap, I'm going, too..."

I look over in Zidane's direction, and see that he's fallen as well.

Hopefully, I won't have to battle the Sealion. So far, I've stayed awake.

Most of the time, I'd be the first one out... Zzzzz.....

"Hey, Zim, come lookit this..."

Huh? Zim?! He's here?! GYAAAH! ^^ A familiar face, finally! Even if

it is a cartoon character, it's good to see someone from Earth...

Or rather from Irk.. But you get it.

Wait, what was I looking at... OH YEAH! Out the window.

Outside, there's a person standing in the pouring rain, staring down.

They have their hood up, so I can't see any eyes. The person's

wearing one of them kinds of capes that cover almost everything,only

everything from the shin-down is visible. Of course, there's the hood..

So you can see the head if it was down.. Which it's not. Oh, and

there's this really cute bow under the collar...

"We should go shoot them, all stupid and standing there in the rain!!

Besides, it'd be helping me get a step closer in my quest to destroy

you all!"

...Now I forgot that the greatest alien ever was sitting beside me?

I suck!!

"No, we're going to help her."

"And risk MY precious hide in that poison?"

....

Why...me?

"..What about the repellent?" I asked, looking around the extremely

dark place. Zim makes a realizing grunt, takes out a bottle of glue,

and squirts it all over himself. I run out the door with him screaming

at me for leaving him behind. He's still the weirdo we all know and

love...

"H-hey.. uhm... Miss?" I say, tapping her shoulder. She doesn't even

look up, let alone respond.

"Go.."

...The voice sounds familiar.. A bit boyish.. Yet you can tell she's a girl.

I run my fingers over the cloak she's wearing. It's so soft... Like my

cloak.. The one I wish I had in Ice Cavern...

"Leave... Or suffer.." she hisses, the smelly breath reaching my nose.

I glance at Zim, who's hiding under a tree. He shrugs, and I turn to

face the girl again.

"We've gotta get you inside."

"LEAVE!!"

She finally looks up, and my eyes widen. T-that's me!! Except for the

red eyes and fangs and that her bangs are swept over her left eye,

but...

Zim screams for me to run, but I'm too distracted by the two wings

that just split from her back...One a bat's...The other an angel's...

A laugh come out of nowhere, one that's just like his...

The other me tackles me down, and dives for--

"Hey... Hey, wake up."

"ZIDANE!!"

I throw my arms around his neck, strangling him in a 'thank GOD

you're here' hug.

"W-what the..."

He pushes me away, and I turn to see that everyone else is awake.

YES!! I was asleep through the first real fight! ^^...

...

I look down at my finger to see a blue ring... One that's only been

there since I've been on Earth. It disappeared, but.. now it's back?

Subject: Chapter 12:The Escape from the Icyness

Why:Because I said so.

Why such a crappy title: You think of a reason why... I don't know.

"Oooo.. It's a sapphire?" Vivi asked, grabbing my hand and practically

yanking me down to his height. He stared at it with wide and greedy

eyes. I expected that look from Zidane, which there is, but from Vivi,

the unselfish mage? The one that loves windmills, chocobos, and all

that other stuff? Greedy over a glass made to look like a sapphire?

"It's real,too.." Zidane muttered, walking over and reaching for my

hand as well. I pulled my hand away, and said, "It's made of glass,

though.."

"No,it's real. I can tell." he replies, snatching the ring off my finger in

a swift movement.

"W-what the hell, Vi?!" Zidane says all of a sudden, falling onto his

behind. Hope the snow didn't soak through his pants..

"What? You just took the ring, and--"

"You went crazy!! You started speaking somethin` and fangs grew

and- and--" Vivi tried to say it all at once, but he fell over as well.

Wonderin` how his head didn't explode... Or why his hat didn't catch

fire.

"...Is it true?" I ask Garnet, who's also looking at me worriedly. She

slowly nods, backing up slightly. Steiner already has his sword out,

and his knees are shaking....

Maybe the dream meant more than it really did.. He DID say fangs.

At least, that's what I think he said. Kid was speaking too quick.

"Before we leave... Gimme the Heart if the Ocean back. The name

of it means nothing... Just my nickname for it."

Zidane nervously hands it back, and I slip it onto my left hand's ring

finger. The sapphire in the middle sparkles, just like in the movie

Titanic... I only wish this was a necklace... It was so pretty..

Since no one wants to be in front of me, I guess I'll have to lead. No

other monsters appeared, of course, they all died when Zidane

fought Black Waltz #1... I'll fight the third one, he deserves it. The

second? No idea. We'll have to see about that one...

"IT'S ABOUT FRIGGEN TIME!!"

I jump out the cavern and land on the ground just outside. Oh,thank

ye,Lord, warmth. The others are still a little freaked about whatever

happened back there, so they don't react as happily. Garnet was the

last one out, and the first to say something other than me.

"We made it through the Mist!" she exclaims, stretching her arms out,

"Oh the sun feels great!" We all agree. Steiner's armor is practically

made of snow now, which is quickly turning into freezing water. Vivi

gets on his knees, and starts searching the ground for something

as Zidane speaks out.

"Look, there's a village." he says. Woot. Village.

I follow his gaze to see a small,yet cozy looking village. Looks can be

deceiving,though...

"I think I've been there before..." Zidane mutters, scratching his head.

"Sounds like you've been everywhere. The only other worlds I've

visited are the ones in books.." Garnet says kind of to herself. Oh god,

I know how she feels. So many great fantasy lands that I'll never

visit. *sigh*

Vivi gets up from whatever he was doing, walks over to me, and

hands me this little flower. Aww! How sweet!

"I hope you feel better." he says in a congested voice. Aww,mages get

colds,too... And apparentlly, going evil is a disease to them as well.

"I'm sure I will." I reply with a smile and pat on his hat (Must... not..

grab... hat...). I take out a rubber band that's been hiding in my pocket

all this time, and tie my hair up in a ponytail with the flower sticking

out of the band. "There, now I can't loose the flower."

"Wait. Hold it. You're a princess!"

Vivi and I are snapped from our world to the knight, the thief, and the

princess wandering down to the village."You can't just go rushing in

there, people are looking for you, you need a new identity." Zidane

explains. OH JOY!! I know the perfect name! We should name her

Tak! Or,or Rose! Or... Eh, forget it.

Steiner growls, and seems to grow to bigger size as he walks up to

Ziddy. He pokes his gloved finger into his chest, causing Zidane to

fall back and nearly tumble off the cliff. It should be the other way

around..

"Insolent fool!! The princess need not sneak around! Besides, we're

heading back to the castle. You leave ger alone. And you'll address

her as 'Princess' from now on, you silly peasant!!" Steiner shouts with

his loud voice. Someone from down in the village looks up at the cliff,

and I just wave. They awkwardly wave back, and run off. Good idea..

"Dammit, Rusty!! Why don't you just shut up? Who do you think you

are? I don't take orders from a stuck-up jerk like you!!" Zidane

spontaneously responds, causing me to snicker inadvertently,thus

attracting everyone's attention. He glares.

"Got a problem?!" I say, and everyone shakes their heads. Still jumpy

from the incident? That was 20 or so minutes ago..

Vivi cowers a bit, then joins me by my side again.

"Steiner, I do not intend to return to the castle (*gasp from audience*).

And I do see Zidane's point.. I need a new name."

"Besides,if Brahne went as far as to bomb the ship with Garnet on it,

wouldn't you think she'd be putting the people in the village in danger

as well?" Monkey Tail challenges, putting his hands behind his head.

"That's preposterous!" Steiner exclaims. "How dare you make an

accusation like that!"

The dagger hasn't fallen out of Ziddy's pocket.. so I suppose I can

make up Garnet's name...

"TAK!!!"

Silence.

"...I think we should name her Tak.." I mutter, looking down at my feet.

(Oh, btw, Tak is inspired from this cool alien girl on Zim, not anyone

from real life...)

"I like it. From now on, my name is Tak. I will be called Tak from now

on. What do you think..Zidane?" Gar-- I mean, Tak asks.

"Nice... But I think you should change how you speak. Try sounding

more like me... Or Vivi!" he suggested. Vivi looked a bit confused,

but I felt offended. What's wrong with how I speak?! Everyone stared

at me... Oops, suppose I said it out loud..

"Uh..."

"...Try saying,alrighty!"

Garnet turned to Zidane again, nodded, and said ''A-alrighty!''

"Good! Now let's get going!" I say, rushing down the hill and dragging

Vivi along. I can feel their eyes staring at my back, but can tell that

they're following because of the clangs.

`k... You've been waiting long enough for another chapter, for people

who read this. Sorry, I was... writing a Zim story. Yep, I get that

obsessed... Plus, I just haven't been myself.

I slid down the hill and sat there, looking lazily at the village that lay

in front of me. Unfortunately, a certain black mage tumbled down the

hill and into my back, sending my already cut-up face into the ground.

"S-sorry," Vivi apologized, holding out his hand. I help up my own

hand, stopping him, and said, "It's cool... I'm fine," while getting up.

Zidane had obviously seen what happened, because he was

laughing his tail off. He recieves a death glare from your's truely, and

he only laughs harder. Steiner also gives him a glare.

"It was obviously an accident! How could you laugh?!"

"It's funny, and you know it."

Tak (You know, Garnet?) stared as if she had never heard of

slapstick. Probably hasn't...

Vivi stares over at the windmill happily, and I also stare. It is quite

magnificent... Gagh, snap out of it.

"Well, we better get into the Inn, it's getting late.." Zidane said,

stretching. Vivi raised his gloved hand, and I picked him.

"Yes?"

"But I wanna go see the windmill...''

"The windmill will be there tomorrow..." I assured, petting the top of

his head. He looked at the blue sparkle on my finger, and I pulled

my hand away. Can't they forget what happened in the cavern?

We entered the Inn, and I felt myself just crumble. That... Innkeeper...

The one thing I'd remember about any game. Vivi suddenly grabbed

my hand, and looked up at me. I stared back.

"...What?"

"Kitty." he said, pointing at the cat relaxing on the fireplace. I sighed,

and turned back to my target of death.

"He's asleep... Hey, wake up!!" Zidane yelled, waving in the

innkeeper's face. Claw his face out, or I'll do it for you.

"Hm.. Huh?"

He stared over at me, then at Vivi, face white. Eyes off the mage and

on your doom, that's the rules of this game...

Zidane followed his gaze."Hey, I know the kid is better looking than

some kids, but you don't have to stare at her...Pervert.."

"OH,no, I wasn't looking at the children, I-I was... Your room is over

there."

He put his head back on the desk, and I ran into the room first. Oh...

behind me, his stinky breath reaching my nose. Hoo boy... Where is

a toothbrush..

"Guys, I'll just be out for a sec, you handle it." I say, walking out to the

lobby. Such... a faker at sleeping.. I leapt up onto the desk, shaking

the stuff on top of it. The Innkeeper looks up, startled.

"C-can I get you anything?"

"No, can I get you somethin`? Some sense? Common moral? A

beating?"

He leaps out of his chair and runs for the door. Quickly, I take off my

ring....

"And don't you touch him... You'll get more than that." I threatened,

putting the ring back on. The bloody innkeeper nodded vigorously,

and ran to his room, screaming.

"Gee, whatever this ring does, it's awesome.."

I walked back into the room my crew got, and saw that everyone was

asleep... Everyone but Vivi.

"I heard screaming.." he shuddered. I smiled tiredly, and hugged him.

"It was nothing..."

"Oh, and why did Steiner get angry about Zidane sleeping with Tak?

There's nothing wrong with it.."

No.No.No...Nononononononono. Ask me tomorrow morning, when I

won't care... Go wake Zidane and ask him!! He's the perv, not me!

I chose a comfy spot under a bed (don't care who's...), and fell asleep

immeadietlly by listening to Vivi's thoughts about why I didn't answer.
