But, I agree with Goron Merchant...I rarely get scared by a Scary Movie these days......my friends don't believe I have no fear, so they try to scare me every now and then, but so far failed. The one thing I really do fear is heights...and in some cases, the dark...

Movies like The Grudge are the kinds that scare me. I can deal with stuff like Saw (I've seen 1-2) easily. Those movies are more like thrillers then scary movies. But, supernatural stuff like The Grudge scare me the most (Which ain't much).

Yeah, I agree. They don't really do the supernaturnal or masked killers anymore.

It's mainly torture, and other sick twisted stuff.

i dont really get scared from scarey movies anymore. they just arnt scarey. most of the time is cus that u know it gona happen...

Because its been done over and over and over again.

i still love it though, but i guess hollywood is trying to come up with something new & fresh - but if you ask me, they should stick to the old stuff because it was good, even if it is getting repetative. The new stuff is just trash. Most recent horror movies are horrible (in terms of storyline, acting etc) and not even scary. For example - Hostel and Hills Have Eyes - if they didnt have the 'violence' factor, they would have absolutley nothing. I still need to see Saw 3.

Ive seen all the movies mentioned so far in this thread, i love watching scary movies, aswell as movies with extreme violence. My favourite scary movies have got to be The Grudge (japanese version, not the american one), Stephen Kings' Rose Red, Saw 1, and there's a korean one called Nightmare i really liked.
