Internet Problems.

Okay, seriously.

If you're gonna say "GET FIREFOX", get OUT. NOW.

I don't want, or need Firefox.

Okay, this problem started... a week or two ago. I'm just playing on Verizon, when suddenly, nothing works. Nothing's loading except for the home page of Verizon, and now, that's stopped working too. Usually, it'll let me log on, but times like this, like right now (oh wow; I just typed that and it suddenly logs me in), it'll just say 'internet connection has timed out'. It's... really annoying.

Sometimes, my Bookmarks won't work, and I can't click them, but every other tab works.

What's weird is that AOL works...

It's done this before, but it was repaired a day later by itself.

(Oh dude. Fanfiction.net loaded... it's trying to be good so you guys don't kill it.)

So...

I've repeatedly restarted the computer, and it'd usually work, but only for like, 5 minutes or less. I'll unplug the internet cable (done it THREE times), no result. I've done everything to clear files 'n all, and tried to repair the connection (it stops about half-way through, which is weird...)

Any ideas OTHER THAN GET FIREFOX? This is my MOM'S computer; she likes AOL, so she's not about to switch. :/ She doesn't use Verizon, and I haven't told her about the problem ('cos she HATES Verizon with a passion...)...

You...

You use AOL with VERIZON'S internet, for goodness' sakes.

One is bad enough.

Get Firefox. >(

You need it.

It helps.

I was going to say something to that effect. Funny stuff- contradictions to blatant instructions are always funny.

...Time heals all wounds?

I was going to say to try and convince your mom to switch to either Firefox or Opera. Both are better than AOL. However, if she won't switch, try convincing her to switch Internet service providers.

Why you bash the poor firefox?

maybe it's your internet connection that is the problem for nothing loading... I mean it may not be your side of the problem but at times ISPs do work on their servers which will cause the internet to be down/slow.

Wireless or cordless mouse? if wireless perhaps the connection between the mouse and the reciever is being intercepted (or blocked) so it sometimes is hard to click or move, I've had this problem before. just readjusting the receptor to being visible by the mouse can cause clicks and moves to be ignored or slow. or perhaps it's just the computer being slow.

if you have cordless well then 3 words: lol! get wireless.

there is nothing wrong with firefox 2 OR 3 (3 doesn't support all skins or addons yet) I've used it for YEARS and tons of other people use it nothing is wrong with it.

Yeah, firefox is pretty great. Besides, it's better. I was reluctant to switch at first, but now I refuse to use anything else. Actually, I have to use Internet Explorer for school, but that's it.

Also, I used Internet Explorer forever.

And after 7.0 came out, I was like, "Oh my gosh, easier way to hide porn." But, it kept having so many errorrrrs. And then Tappy's signature was like DOWNLOAD FIREFOX 3.0 WHEN IT COMES OUT. YEAAAAAAAH. And, so I downloaded 2.0 and waited for 3.0. And fssssssck, it's so much better.

The features Internet Explorer 7.0 has are also very improved. Internet Explorer can save tabs, but it doesn't save the history. Firefox saves tabs and the history, so, if you watched a video, say on Youtube, and then you went to your channel and you closed it after that and you really wanted to watch that video again without going through your whole history, you can just click the back button. Soooooooooooo much better. :>
