Nintendo world's most profitable company

At $1.6 million per employee, Nintendo topped multibillion dollar giants like Apple and Google as the company with the world's best per capita income.

------

Each of Nintendo's 3,000 workers produce roughly $1.6 million per capita. For comparison, a Google employee inputs $626,000 for the same amount of work. And with the company's underestimating that its accounting figures are inaccurate, that number is most likely much higher.

The Financial Times stated that such high income is the result of the ever-growing demand for Nintendo's home and handheld consoles, Wii and DS.

"All manufacturing of the Wii is outsourced, and even high-profile games such as Mario Party are developed externally, with oversight from Nintendo producers," said the Times. "In spite of their profitability, however, there is unlikely to be an outbreak of programmers driving Maseratis to work at Nintendo’s headquarters in the southern suburbs of Kyoto."

Despite working for the company with the world's best profit per capita, one Nintendo employee told the Times - 'with no sign of dissatisfaction': “We are not experiencing success...just increased overtime."

Nintendo is listed as Japan's second most valuable company behind Toyota Motors with an overall net worth of $85 billion.

There's another news site that clarifies this a bit. It's probabbly not as great as it should be...
The average Nintendo employee will make more than USD 1.6 million (GBP 800,000) in profit for their company this year.

That puts the 3000 permanent staff as some of the top profit generators around the world, according to the Financial Times - ahead, even, of US investment mega-bank Goldman Sachs.

The average salary for Nintendo staff last year was USD 90,900 (GBP 45,450), while Goldman Sachs employees averaged a whopping USD 660,000 (GBP 330,000).
