Well I was wondering what the Arbiter's Grounds has been used for in the past of Hyrule, and wanted to know what others thought it was. Please post any other ideas if you have em

I think that it might of replaced the Spirit Temple from OoT because TP has a lot of OoT ideas incorperated into it. But, I really like the fact that Arbiter's Grounds was used for criminals and had the Twilight Mirror :D

It was half Shadow Temple, half Spirit Temple, half Roman Coloseum, and another half Palace of Execution.

Too many halfs for my taste.

Anyways, it was pretty cool. The most challenging Temple, I think.

I wonder where all of the Gerudos went when it was built. And why weren't there many cells if it was a prison? Maybe it was a bigger Spirit Temple that the Gerudos built but somehow it started getting used as a prison. Maybe all of the Gerudos were locked inside. I wonder if everyone was free to run around the prison since there weren't cells. That's be pretty scary.

lol, why is lon lon ranch an option? XD

anyway ya at first i thought it was the spirit temple... but then again wasn't the spirit temple a holy place? and the arbiter's grounds held prisoners. so maybe it's the gerudo fortress where those four carpenters were captured in OoT.

maybe.

and the spirit temple........ is covered in sand somewhere beyond it. :squint:

I think the Arbiter's Grounds is a completely independent structure. In the 100 years that supposedly separate OoT from TP, I don't think there's sufficient time to convert a holy place to a prisoner's execution grounds, to then being not used for many years before the events in TP. That have to mean they began taking prisoners there immediately after the events of OoT, used it for about 20 years, then abruptly decided that it wasn't the best place to hang out, and so ditched it.

Wasn't it a hundred years between Wind waker and oot??

Sprit temple that was rebuilt a little.

But it could aso be the golden temple (the first sage??)

Though i still wonder if the sages was the one from oot :--/

I think it may very well be the Temple, but it could also be the Fortress. The Gerudo may have given up the fort as a token of good will, and that is where Hyrule got its maximum security prison (more like tomb).

By the way, thanks for letting this noob (me) into your forum, pretty cool place.

That hundred years included a catastrophic flood that completely wiped out what had been there before it. TP's Hyrule was not all that different from OoT's.

Exactly, it was just a rerendering of Hyrule with much better technology and a bit more imagination (thanks to the leaps gaming tech had made in that time).

Nice picture by the way, Gael.

I added Lon Lon Ranch because it is shaped like the Arbiter's Grounds. Well, I added it as a joke, to see if some people will actually fall for it.

I think it was probably either the spirit temple or the gerudo fortress. I havent gotten that far but I've seen it in someone elses file. :embarrassed:

I think when Ganondorf was captured, the King took it as an act of war, and conquered the Gerudo Desert in retaliation. Since no one really wanted to live there, they decided it would be the perfect place to build a prison, and Ganondorf should be the first to be executed in it. Meanwhile, the Gerudos integrated into Hyrule. This may explain why Telma looks like a Gerudo and there aren't any in the desert.
