Mask of Truth?

You know when the Happy Mask Seller gives you the Mask of Truth, he tells you it's scary, and talks about the meaning of life, etc, right? But anyone know WHY he said it was scary and the meaning of life? I've always wanted to know this

Because he probably wore it in the presence of his wife . Seriously, he probably wore it once and discovered for himself that truth was scary. I don't remember the meaning of life dialogue though.. then again, he may have heard legends of it (an artifact like that is bound to have a legend). Perhaps you had it on when you spoke to him, and you don't remember?

Didn't he say something about it while tell you? I think he said it was scary because you could read peoples minds, but you can only read gossip stones whitch tell you about people in hyrule that might help you beat the game A.K.A. the meaning of life.

This is just a thought though.
