ZW Exclusive: The Darkness That Zelda Deserves

Here and there Zelda Wiki contributors will present us with articles in which are capable of becoming a "Zelda Wiki Exclusive."

In this round Brent McBride, a.k.a Cipriano 119, presents us with his article "The Darkness That Zelda Deserves" which you can read by clicking here.

"Imagine Link facing Ganondorf in the center of Hyrule Field. The Castle is visible against the stark, stormy night, a white beacon of tradition rising from the foothills of the landscape. The night is alone. Ganondorf has the unconscious Princess Zelda on the ground below him. 'The Hero of Time stands before me,' says Ganondorf, 'as tragic as ever, torn between two equal evils – tell me, Link, would you rather spare your precious princess and the royal bloodline at the expense of Castle Town or have me kill the princess, and tell my minions placed strategically about the village to scatter. You decide. If you cannot choose, they both will die.'"

There are already a few Wiki Exclusives in which you can find by clicking here.

The Goron: Zelda Equivalent of the Giant Panda

Hey guys, Mases here from Zelda Dungeon. We posted this article over at the site and it's a decent read, discussing the biological/evolutionary look at the Goron's from the Zelda series. Please Digg the article, that would be much appreciated.
Gorons can often be found in the Death Mountain region ever since Ocarina of Time. In the Zelda world the Gorons are strong fighters and good miners, but in the world of biology they would be one of natures evolutionary mistakes. If we examine this race closer, what is devastating for the survival of the Goron?

Quirky Animals and The Legend of Zelda

Zelda Informer brings us all fan created articles all the time and I figure it's time to shed some light on them here

"Zelda games are full of conventions. Things like items, bosses, locations and characters are often reused in new release to the series for consistency, nostalgia and possibly due to laziness on the developers side. Animals in Zelda have had a bit of notoriety as campy, kind, and sometimes greedy, and this convention has not died.

As early as The Legend of Zelda we had the silliest catch phrases coming from the most unlikely creatures. Sure, Moblins are monsters and not - by Zelda definition - animals, but they are still an interesting character in the original Legend of Zelda game. While the majority were evil, throwing spears at Link all through the Lost Woods and abroad, there were also a select few good Moblins who would give Link rupees while exclaiming, "It's a secret to everybody." It is an example of one the many classic Legend of Zelda catch phrases that has become an internet meme simply because of the campiness of the translation."
It's 75 x 150cm sized, comes with Zelda Twilight Princess picture with some info, and of course, the towel it self. It looks really great, I'm going to hang it up in my room.

Legend of Zelda + Garry's Mod = <3 ?

Zelda fans are an amazing bunch…loyal, creative, and downright inspiring. While we’ve seen A LOT of creative efforts from fans over the years, a slew of new “screens” generated via Garry’s Mod, a utility allowing users to import and edit characters through Valve’s Source engine, by the rather imaginative Zelda fan Ryu-Gi have hit the net and give us a glimpse of what the long-running and beloved franchise would look like if it were to appear on hardware more advanced than Nintendo’s Wii.

Obviously, these are only here for us to drool over, but come on…Isn’t it fun to dream?

You can view the screens here.

Source

Just to make sure you got the point, these are fake screens.
